This is a big deal.
Personally i never trusted a word of the Qatar hype, proven right, Ineos are a serious business, they'll restructure MUFC and bring back the glory days, but not overnight, a lot of work to do
@richyclubsport5155 Rome wasn't built in a day
@@MrKAKARONALDOMESSI Just like Rome wasn't built in a day, Manchester City's success wasn't instant. It took time, investment, and strategic efforts for them to become a top-tier club. Every team has its journey and timeline for success.
@@neilgayleard3842 I can assure you and save this message, Man Utd won't be winning the league for another 10 years
Outside the fact he is highly experienced and one of the top possible choices. Its the manner in which this happened im impressed with and gives me real optimism. No pr, no messing around, no leaks. Straight approach get it sorted announce it. That's how operations should be run at our club
- Utd have become a Club
- Who copy,poach from City
- Could have signed Pep
- Saved themselves the embarrassment 😂
@@HumanBeingsRThinkingBeings hate to break it to you kid but that's how it works in the corporate world. People get poached from various companies 🤷🏻
@@nemboy1567hate to break it to you kid but everything in football gets plastered all over the news, even the things that go on behind closed doors. This is impressive for Manchester United considering the last decade they have had
The lack of leakage is a great sign already.
THIS!!!
This is what impressed me the most apart from getting Berrada
true bro! Even I was shocked, not because of the appointment, but the way it was conducted
It's also a sign that the club is figuring out which people leak information within the club
I have tears in my eyes thinking of the day we reach that summit once more. Sir Jim is making all the right noises in taking our great club back to where it belongs. To Jenas, Shearer and all the other fans who said 'why are they protesting, the glazers have spent over a billion" .
seems like SJ has been listening to our protests all along.
All we ever wanted as fans is to have football people running our club
Been doing my homework on this guy. From what I can gather, he was the 2nd or possibly 3rd most senior person running the day to day at City. Ahead of him were City CEO Ferran Soriano (who is 56) and City DOF Txiki Berigistain (who is 59). Berrada himself is 46. Their ages are significant here. He was being groomed to replace one of those two eventually. A City journalist even said he was widely regarded as Berigistain’s long term replacement.
We’ve bagged City’s future CEO or DOF. So not only does this move hurt them today. It really hurts them for tomorrow. Their 2 most senior guys are entering their 60s soon and City will have to start from scratch lining up and prepping a replacement that knows City Football Group as well as Berrada.
Love this, but given City's charges, he was likely demoted from CEO-to-be, to their fall guy for these charges; he'd have been scapegoated. So, it was a safe and genius move for him and United.
That has to sting.
@@HonouHana I don’t think that’s how things went down. It wouldn’t be very clever for your future CEO and a guy you’ve been prepping for well over a decade, to be made your fall guy. If anything, it would make sense for one of the older guys to take the bullet and Berrada to step up to take their place. It seems like City were just as surprised as anyone else to see him leave. They’ve fended off interest for Berrada from teams in the PL and abroad over the years, even after the 115 charges. And they’ve done well to keep him until now.
I think it was too difficult to turn down the prospect of fast tracking his route to CEO, without the need to relocate as he’s likely set up roots in Manchester. Also with the new ownership structure, it looks like United are on the up and the CEO responsible for turning our fortunes around would be regarded as one of the best ever. Very difficult to say no to all of that.
You are speaking like city won't find his replacement from other top clubs 😂 so no you haven't hurt city and you haven't improved your club since one man will need 5 years to sort out your mess off a club 😂😂
@@mitresekeroski8889 they’ll have a very hard time finding someone better suited to take over as CEO than Berrada who’s been there since 2011 and knows the club inside out. And he’s clearly really good at his job.
Also, you’re thinking 5 years to sort us out? Brilliant. I’m loving the optimism. 😂 I’ve put up with 2 decades of the Glazers and 1 decade of being shite. What’s another half decade?
He is a nobody 😂
Top work. Hoping he can hire Ashworth and Mitchell. Looking forward to the deep dive
He can't get both no? They are both dof
@@OliMUFCwe can mate….. one as cheif scout and one to develop the players
Dan Ashworth would take Director of football role and paul mitchell head of recruitment role@@OliMUFC
@@plopplop1984 OK good
the only issue is the club is in debt, and we have no money, we can get the best of the best but if they is nothing to work with it then it’s going to be a long journey
Thanks. That's exactly enough information I needed from this story. All in one, God bless. SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦 IS WATCHING, KEEP IT UP. UNITED WE STAND
Its a long term process...
Atleast 18 months from here.. hope there will be major changes with regards to recruitment structure, player contracts etc.
Hope club will act like a proper footballing club
Man utd are done as a force in English football and have been for years
They are the new Liverpool, start of every season thinking they are winning the league but out of it by November and finish top 4 once every 5-6 years.
That was Liverpool for 30 years, that's now utd for 30 years 😂😂
Utd won't even be within 6pts of winning the league anytime in the next 5 years
@weeforbes I do not expect them to win titles immediately, as a rational fan that is not possible in near future. However things will slowly get better than before.
Your hate comments doesn't bother me a bit,
Peace and have a good day!
@@SL0409 Not even properly begun yet and we've already rattled you 😂😂 cry more fool. Wait until a proper DOF is hired and after a few years, things improve. You'll have the rest of your life ruined as well as your childhood by Fergie.
@@SL0409Finish in the top 4 once every 5-6 years? Mate, United are STILL finishing above Liverpool more often than not and have only finished outside the top 4 4 times over the last 10 years, less than every side in the country other than City.. Stop with the bollocks.
Finally some change at our football club
Honestly it’s about time us united fans had some good news it’s only about 10 years over due but it’s a start I’m excited for this upcoming year and see how will grow. Hopefully we will start seeing the champions rule the world again 😊
I appreciate the amount of hardwork you put to make these videos for us.. I jus wanna say thank you and keep making videos like this ❤
He must be allowed to pick his own team now below him. I don't care about Ashworth or Mitchell or any of them if Berrada doesn't want them. I imagine that being able to pick his own team was one of the terms of the deal.
I have to admit I was on the "Qatar"-train. But that was mainly to get the Glazers out completely. After what has happened these past two months, I am glad that didn't happen. The Glazers may still be here, but Sir Jim and his team are blowing me away already with what is happening. And no matter if we win the title any time soon, we will be a much better run club, with much better decisions made. And after the decade+ that we have endured, that is fantastic in itself. I am really happy that Sir Jim and INEOS has been able to take over the sporting side of the club, and really look forward to be part of this journey now.
the money-greedy qataris would have destroyed United.
Delusion, Qatar is best option, but glazers won, Jim is just football side.
Agree ! We don't need state sponsored terrorist money of Qatar.
People do not understand the long term implications of having countries like Qatar owning iconic clubs.
What I’m most surprised about is the fact we weren’t linked to him or had any leaks for man utd that’s very weird could this be a sign of things to come maybe we’ll operate faster and more Illusive under ratcliffe
As we acknowledge the quality of signing someone like Berrada, we must also admit it is a sign of just how much of club Man City has been these past years. They may have cheated but their success was no fluke.
Berrada was No. 3 at City. To have highly respected football leaders like Soriano, Begiristain and now Omar... It's crazy. Compare that to Arnold, Murtough and... Fletcher??! Shocking from United.
United never used to act so decisive and quick
The quick actions at Man Utd after hiring Man City's Football CEO could be driven by a desire to make positive changes swiftly. Despite recent developments, Man Utd's enduring influence in football is a testament to their continued significance in the sport.
OH MY!! This brings a big smile to my face as well. Freaking awesome news. Lets bring back our old MAN UTD
He's was born in France to a Moroccan parents
The berrada family are known to be very intellectual and educated in Morocco they are usually from the city of fez
Securing City's football CEO showcases our club's prestige. Our global influence and ambitious vision make us a powerhouse in the football world.
We got chief f
Of football operations. This is a step up for him on title. Easy decision even if he loved city
City is notorious to release turds so united can pick it up 😅
@@3dxyz412 Impressive expertise! Who knew Man City football fans had such an in-depth knowledge of the "terds" transfer market? Must be a hidden talent you have
@@carlboss8105 only blind man couldnt see it.
Very happy they got this level of ceo , very shocked on how they did this as well
Until yesterday, I’d never heard of him.
Ashworth, Mitchell with scouts n medical staff needed now. 1st step but a great appointment 😊
just submitted my mba leadership final assignments what this guy says about leadership is what ive just learnt
Would be interesting to see who else ineos have lined up for behind the scenes for mufc. Great video Sam
So excited for this. The rebuild is starting.
'Omar Berrada did not play any role in the sponsorship and salary deals that have led to Manchester City being charged with 115 alleged rule breaches by the Premier League. '
@TimesSport
🧢🧢🧢
This is huge! I don't say that lightly. We had to have a total fresh pair of eyes and a football brain most of all and barrada ticks all these boxes. I'm having a feeling I haven't had in yrs......hope I know I said it I am hopeful and excited for the future as a red
He's jumping ship before it sinks
How did SJR convince the Glazers to let his guy become CEO?
Yeah, commendable work done in the background by SJR and team so far.
Something special is happening at United right now. I can feel it.
Thank you SAM THE LEGEND 👏👏👏
He's well articulated 👏🏿
On hindsight, I'm really glad that the Qatari group were unsuccessful in their bid to purchase Manchester United. INEOS has shown in a very short space of time their high level of professionalism and an unparalleled ability not only in getting things done, but doing so in the right way as well. Finally, things are starting to look up for us as a football club and a commercial enterprise as well.
Who there to say that Qatar wouldnt have done the same or better?
@@hackle511look at PSG then come back
He clearly had 115 reasons to leave…that sky blue ship sinks soon 😢
Great video, thanks Sam!
Omar had been approached by ALOT of big clubs and he said no, the fact he came to united says it all to me
The fact that we likely offered him a 5x higher salary than anyone else had nothing to do with it. 😀
@@somegeezer4058Salary or guaranteed control on day to day decision making with Blanc's backing 🤔...
Because NFL teams were also interested in appointing him and I know for a fact those franchises have money to burn 😂

Excellent short video. Love the concise hard hitting videos.
That’s terrific news.
The quarterly “how this guy is going to revolutionise and transform United” video.
I truly hope you are right mate. We could do with your positivity. On doesn’t know what to think anymore.
Omar needs to lure Pep to the hotseat next!
Imagine 😂
If City get dealt with over FFP, he will leave City
No. Don't want him. Don't need him.
He's too expensive.
No thank you pep is over rated !!! Make him go to Norwich city and see how well he does. Anyone can be a good manager with the correct financial backing.
Thanks but no thanks
This guy has worked side by side with two of the worlds best football professionals, one could say he was the drving force of Citys success behind the scenes while Txiki and Soriano were the public figures. Lets hope he assembles an elite team from top, all the way to Eriks office door.
Idk but why are united so obsessed with skinheads 😅😅
You kind of want to say it is typical of United signing someone that could end up being suspended after City and Barcelona get punished for breaches. I just want them to give us a break with bad decisions after bad one. Hoping this is a good one and the beginning of all GOOD stuff coming to the team
neat analysis as always 👌🏿
Is the possibility of Ralf Rangnick as Director of Football not in anyone's shortlist including INEOS?
Let’s Go!!!!!!
I wouldn’t want to hype him but I think we have to give props to Inoes for getting this deal signed like it should be. No leak, no delays, just knowing who they want and getting him immediately 🔥
So Happy with such a skillfull director with 3 very conscious 21st century spear points
I think you're right bro ;
and I really hope that you are !
I haven’t been this excited since Rangnick came in, then ETH. Or when the glazers put the club up for sale. Or since John Murtough was sacked.
Murtough hasn't been sacked, he's still here. Arnold is the one who's been sacked
me too, on all fronts, but the team still sucks lol. hopefully all these positive changes will quickly start to work out.
Woodward leaving is for me on the same level.
I think we are in for a lot of surprises ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Nice work
We are close! The players are there, the board is there, although the owners are still there😅 but there is Sir Jim infront of them. If we get Greenwood back and another Striker, the attack is sorted, then get 3 or 4 City level players in the defense and midfield, coz we got their CEO😅
Also i think it is really smart to sort the top position in the CEO out before appointing the sporting director, like this they can discuss their ideas for the sporting director already with berrada and make sure they and the the person that is going to be appointed are in line
Did things fast and swiftly, unexpectedly, very unfamiliar to our club 😂😂😂
Wonder have Ineos got eyes on anyone else at City. It sound ludicrous, however, if the FFP stuff goes badly against them then Pep will leave
I think he knows something abt the court case that we don’t . Maybe city is going to relegated for a season or two.
Look forward to your deep dive into his career as stillhave con erns that hes been at the 2 clubs withthe biggest reputations for dodgy dealings
That's an great appointment to build an elite football project😊😊
He is a gem of a CEO
Sam is the man for these informative articles 👏
Sam is a fanboy who laps up any shite the club throws at him.
Hopefully we can get a progressive DOF next to help ETH and the club. We really need a new structure at the club
Hopefully Ten Hag gets sacked, Antony and Onana disasters
Heard its Ashworth and head of recruitment will be Mitchell
Finally something good is happening at United 😊
Do you think Rashford with his attitude problems , inconsistencies and most importantly wages will last in this rebuild ?
Chances are Players like these will be sold in future just like how city operates,
Classic example is palmer, once they realized he does not see future with city immediately they sold him to make some profit rather than keeping a unhappy player and overpaying with new contract
Not a chance if he doesn't get his head down and work hard ... Jim is a billionaire.... They don't use emotions and sentiment in making decisions.... Rashford will be sold if he doesn't improve ...
Spot on rashford will be gone
I honestly hope not (for all the reasons you mentioned, he's not the player you want to in order to compete for the biggest trophies and have a good dressing room. Need more proper characters, not sulkers).
The summer was the perfect chance to sell him. But as usual the United board do not think long term. Hope that changes under INEOS
I'm excited!
One step closer to bringing Pep to United. Come home Pep. Julia Roberts is waiting for you!
The cricus just keeps getting better 😂
We like very much
Brilliant appointment.
Your 100% wrong, he has never had anything to do with football operations, he's a commercial man. He joined in 2010 -2016 as head of commercial operations of Manchester City. From 2016 -2023 he was promoted to head of commercial operations at City Football Group.
He was no 8 in the hierarchy of Manchester City's executives.
One goal one vision not mentioned. I want playing style mentioned by ALL our infrastructure
Overseeing City and Girona? That is incredibly exciting.
The behind the scenes managerial B team had their shot and failed. Now its time to get people in who have actually seen what it takes to create success
This Is The Stelph Kind Of Thing We Need To Do On Singings,,,
This is a good start but the fact that the Glazer's are still in place and still own the majority of the club and that worries me ..
They were the owners when we last won the champions league. Did it worry you then? They're not having anything to do with the football and eventually INEOS will buy them out. This is only the beginning
SJR will be the clubs' biggest shareholder by far at 29%. The next biggest shareholder will have about 8.5% The Glazers aren't a monolith, they are six individual shareholders with six individual shareholdings. SJR will have a majority shareholding within 18 months.
Dude saw those charges and was like YUP…
A man with nous .
Got it!
Welcome to Manchester
This is a good start but I need to see more. United is light years behind and the stuff we’re celebrating should be standard procedure. Yes this is good news but I need more convincing. United don’t have much credit in the bank for me at all.
Perhaps this is more of an appointment/ recommendation from jean claire blanc, as he would have been one of his peers in the industry.
Jim being a proper business man whos the best just get him
That came out of the Blue
This is the start of genuine change at man utd….. I must have heard that a thousand times from this guy😕
Pep is about to do a figo, from city to United
I’m impressed, but guess who City are now gonna blame for all their coming woes?
He should also be given power to decide whether he'll work with Ten Haag or he has a better option in mind. I want my club to come back to the top, and we haven't seen any progress this season at all.
This guy needs to be thinking so much bigger then “who is the manager”. He needs to work on culture, business, professionalism. The whole club needs to be reformed, that’s his job. The manager of the first time is such a micromanagement task for him.
A welcome development
So is blanc not coming to utd? I thought he was supposed to be our ceo
He will be a board member most probably
Blanc will be a Director of the club above the CEO
This is a bigger deal than what people are making of it.
I think he can take this club to the highest level.because the players has disappointed their fans
There are no seniors people, at City who are not involved in the 115 charges.
Can he get United to the top again in a fair and honest way then great
Maybe deep dive into how much he's getting paid. No doubt doubled his wage to get him from city.
Sick start 😮 lol
Interesting. Why would he resign from an environment of success, to come join United? Hmmm 🤔... interesting.
It puts Ten Hag under MORE pressure as INOS could easily replace him.
This guy hasn’t been CEO of anything! So how can anybody call him best in class? You are too easily impressed Sam.
Transfer window is almost done and we havent even made one signing.. 🙆♂️ same old United!
