    To save money and recycle, every year my community has a Spring clean up day, all that is left on the curb, will go to the landfill, broken fans , toasters, air conditioners, tools, I cut the wire off, strip the plastic off the copper, saves a lot of money on Crafts, and I have buckets of recycled material

    Lovely. I have always wondered, though, what the obsession is with the dark patina. Nothing is more beautiful than the natural, shiny metal. But I think I must be in the minority.

    • @GemseekerStudio
      @GemseekerStudio  11 месяцев назад +1

      In my opinion, Oxidation brings out all the details . The contrast between dark and bright makes all lines deeper. Jewellery looks antique. But you are right- it is just an individual opinion and some people prefer bright copper.

Perhaps you would be kind enough to let me know where they come from? Otherwise, I really love your projects and am keen to try some of them. Wonderful craftsmanship.

    I've watched a few of your videos now, and I think that you do really great work, it really inspires me. But, when it comes to your videos, do you mind if I make a few suggestions to make them easier to learn from?
    When you're showing something to the camera, try not to move around so much, and take a second for people to actually see what you're showing them. By the time I've actually focused on what you've put up to the camera, you've already moved it away. Also, I suggest either moving your camera angle down or make more of an effort to keep your work higher on the table, you move out of frame every so often and it's a bit frustrating. When you measure something, either state it on the screen or use a ruler that can be seen by the camera, that blue ruler doesn't help us to see when you are trying to show us a measurement. If you are not going to verbally explain your work in your videos, then you need to add more description in captions of what you're doing. For instance, I can't always tell what weave you're doing with the thinner wires because there's no explanation, you're too fast and moving around a lot, and the camera isn't focused in close enough to really see the wrap that you are doing. When you preview a piece you're going to be working on, could you show it just a little bit longer? If I blink at the wrong time, then I miss it and I don't know what you are going to make without having to try to rewind the video.
    Please don't take any of these suggestions as criticisms, they aren't in anyway! They are just my thoughts and request on how you could make it easier for us viewers to watch your videos. I really do love your jewellery, it's very beautiful, challenging to replicate and a joy to watch you craft. Thank you for providing those of us still learning with projects to practice with and to gain inspiration from! Keep up the great work! ❤
