    There are so many things I like about this strip tutorial. You can do strips at your leisure for use later. No super long wires to get bent or crossed. The length of the video. Most make it simple showing a few wraps then cut to show the finished product. Weaving takes time to make something stunning and you did just that!

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry

      The length of the video... indeed, too long, but I think for beginners, its a good video ;) Thank you for this thoughtful comment, I'm really happy you enjoy the strip weaving technique, it's great for many pieces of jewelry...earrings, bracelets, etc. Have fun!

      @@PerfectlyTwistedJewelry The length of the video shows reality. When I started weaving I wondered why it was taking me so long to weave and set my stones when it took others a short time. I realized the cuts so give me full length anytime. Thank you for all you do!

    Absolutely gorgeous!!!. Lots of love went into this piece and it shows. I am a watercolor artist and to me this pendant looks like an ocean scape. The reeds and fish bubbles are just enough for the amazing blue of the stone to be the main star ⭐️ ♥️

    Had to edit to include this: a generous person feeds a hungry person for one day. But a great teacher teaches people HOW to fish so they can eat forever. I'm paraphrasing an old Indian saying, (or was it in the Bible🤔🤷🏾‍♀️) yet, you are the GREAT TEACHER.

    Thank you so much for this tutorial! I can't say enough about the frame design! So versatile! Working on my weaves now and trying to decide whether to redo the frame . . . I used 18 gauge square for my frame, but I think 16 gauge round may be stronger for the weave attachments. Not making 360's with the 16 gauge for the frame and attaching the legs with half round is just something I never thought of -- and is a game changer for me. Your pendant is so beautiful!

    Are you using copper and what gauge for your wrap core wires. when and what do you use brass for? 2 questions for you.

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for great questions, Lisa! This entire pendant is copper, yes. The Base frame wires are 18g square but they could be sub with round, I weave with 28g wire. You can do strip weaves in 20g base and 28g weaving wire. The options to mix and match the wires allows you to enjoy what wire you have onhand. I hope this helps!

    i'm wondering what brand of wire you use all the ones ive tried are terrible seem to tarnish

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  Год назад +1

      Hi, J Dunn, I use Copper wire from Riogrande.com... copper will tarnish over time unless you treat it at the finish with some type of sealant, or you start with Anti-Tarnish wire. Natural copper and sterling will tarnish over time due to a person's skin, and how they wear the jewelry, how they treat it. The best you can do is either seal your bare wire jewelry or start with Anti-Tarnish wire. I hope that helps!

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  Год назад +1

      PS... chances are, the wire you have is probably fine, just oxidized. You might try to just wash the spool with soap water and a brush... make sure it dry it completely, but this might help it look a bit better.
