Alex, in the first image, in spite of the great color correction you applied, the eye of the observer is unavoidably drawn to the background specular highlights and this is ruining the whole picture. Is there any way one can subdue these annoying highlights with a localised WB or some other tricks? Thank you for your invaluable tutorials. I am going to purchase your course.
Thank you! Yes, unfortunately, this RAW file contains no data in these highlights, so there is nothing to recover. Basically, there are two ways to fix them: 1) In Capture One, you can make them grey (using various tools, for instance, lightness sliders in Color Balance) and then color grade them. Sometimes, it works fine, but usually, it creates an unnatural look. 2) That's why I would prefer to simply re-draw this area using Generative Fill in Photoshop, but this is a Capture One tutorial :) By the way, I am currently offering a Black Friday deal for the course - alexonraw.com/capture-one-expert-course/
Alex, I love your tutorials and use your styles. I would like to use Black Friday to purchase the course. But my pidgin English is not enough. Are the videos that the course contains playable on RUclips? That is, with the option to turn on subtitle translation?
Thank you! The course videos are hosted not on RUclips, and currently, they have no subtitles. However, I plan to add subtitles in the future. Which language would you like to have subtitles in?
@@AlexOnRAW I thought so, but my mother tongue is Czech - but that's simply not worth it. Never mind - that's life. I will continue to follow you. Thank you
Hey, at 2:20, what do you mean by accurate colour correction in curves, and how do you approach this? How do you know when accuracy has been achieved?
