Yes, The Flintstones was made with adults in mind, probably for adults to watch with their kids. It was a cartoon version of The Honeymooners. The first adult cartoon series was Private SNAFU, which was made for soldiers. Some of it is lost media but we still have a decent amount. It has some nudity and swearing.
I didn't think I'd heard of that series until I just looked it up and definitely have seen clips here and there so I suppose that does count even if there was no cable television back then. I should check some of them out.
