You wouldn’t recognize Seattle today & most certainly it wouldn’t be so friendly. Homeless drug addicts would of discovered your boat and stolen anything they could. In the midst of all that you would see material displays from people with extraordinary wealth. Seattle has become a city with the most extreme of wealth against an extreme of poverty. Created by the city itself by never planning housing the poor could afford so they were forced out of their homes into a community of desperate people addicted to drugs in which is only a matter of time until they succumbed as well.

It's truly a beautiful place! It's crazy how fast it has grown since 1995! It has really grown in population, as well! Maybe you will visit again, sometime! Cheers from Seattle!

@@cme98 People who can no longer afford their lifestyles have to adapt. Choosing to live in tents and use drugs is not adapting. Those who don't adapt don't evolve.

I live in Wallingford and it *IS* a nice, pleasant neighborhood! People have clearly done a good job over the years of taking care of this place.

My great aunties lived in Wallingford. I remember visiting them as a kid in the 1950s and 60s. I loved their big old house. Nice video. Some rare and mostly unseen photos were a treat. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing to see Central Presbyterian. It is now Wallingford Presbyterian. I looked it up. It is amazing because I lived in that area for many years and never saw it! I guess you only notice the things you need to see.

@00:33 Bldg on right was Interlake Elementary School. Attended there in mid 60s. Food Giant was IGA Grocery at the time. Love this walkable neighborhood. My favorite area of Seattle.

I know the copyright is 2005, but this looks like it was produced in the early 1980s. Anyone know the actual year?
Well done. I really enjoyed it!

Seattle is a very interesting city because of it's history and geological significance. The entire Pacific Northwest is a geological phenomenon.
