"...it was thrilling to have listened to him. His magnificent voice will live on in all our hearts. And so he will never walk alone." Bowzer said it all right there. Thank you, Johnny, for the fantastic music you gave us.
Poor man was so sick here but didnt want anyone to know and he still sang his song, a prayer here ......he sang his way right into heaven and is happier than ever before.
I was at this show, I looked over to my father and said dad, something isn't right. I hope Johnny is okay. Not knowing this would've been his last show. RIP Mr Maestro. You will and are deeply missed 😢
To capture this last moment of his, is absolutely Priceless,, keep the original forever It's a big part of R&R history..... May God bless and keep you Johnny Maestro...
In our oldies genre, there are very many GOOD lead singers... And there are fewer VERY GOOD lead singers.. Then there are even fewer GREAT lead singers... And then there’s Johnny Maestro
No one will ever sing this song as beautiful as him. I looked forward to it at every concert. He brought chills and tears to me then and even now every time I hear him sing it. R.I.P. to one of the greatest artists ever.
I will never forget Johnny or this concert. I had seen him many times but little did I know just how special this concert would be. He's booked as a regular in Rock & Roll Heaven!
As a lead singer in a group myself all I can say is that Johnny Maestro was the lead that set the standard for all who followed. We all wanted to be the Maestro. He was the only entertainer that brought me to tears when I heard of his passing. He was simply "the best!"
More important than what Johnny(an old friend) died from, is what he stood for, and was. RIP Johnny! His music will live on forever! The best thing you can do for him, is remember what he sang!
Johnny Maestro's name is submitted every year to the R&RHOF Foundation's nominating committee in New York but has never received enough votes to make the final ballot. Unfortunately, letters and petitions from fans have no influence on the nominating committee.
A consummate professional who sang with heart and passion, every performance. A gentle man whose talent will be missed and never replaced. Always a showman, never a show off, Johnny's voice was unmistakable, undeniably pure and unyielding from his first performance in the early fifties until his last show in 2010. R.I.P. Johnny. Thanks for the singing lessons!
Johnny Maestro, we followed you whenever and wherever we could. There will never be another you!! No matter what song you sang, there was always a gentle softness to it, that can not be explained. Your voice was impeccable, and unmistakable. We will always love and miss you forever!!! 💕 ❤
am crying now. johnny, I've loved you since day one. I will never stop listening to your beautiful music. you gave so much to the world. you and fred now sing with the angels. love you forever.

I'm sure the Angels Listened In...and anyone who thumbed him down, don't know the great world of music and they haven't really listened to his songs...A super job for a last song Johnny..Put this Angel in the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME...that he so RIGHTEOUSLY DESERVES...because he's there in ROCK AND ROLL *HEAVEN* RIP. Johnny Maestro***
I was there at this last performance, although frail and weak, his voice never missed a beat, I only wish it was a video taken for such a milestone event. RIP my friend
The man who gave me my first break as a piano player was Johnny's best friend, Ric Mango. He told me he was next to Johnny holding his hand as he died. I grew up listening to this music, I'm 18 years old, and if I could, I'd go back in time to when he was alive so I could tell him how much he and his music means to me as another musician. Rest in Peace Johnny.
Thank you for posting Topaz,Johnny was tops! He had a voice that others may try to copy but others will never be able to duplicate!!The power and true tone of his voice is something that rings true and is recognizable anywhere. He passed much too young.I can only say that the,"Angles are truly listening in"! Respectfully,Gregory L.Mitchell,Caldwell,N.J.

We (Wanderers band) were the opening band for Johnny Maestro in November of 2009 at a dinner show in Northern NJ before his passing and have to say this man was a professional and a class act till the end. Luckily we have many recordings on you tube to enjoy and keep the memories alive forever.
Jon Bauman was always a class act. Johnny deserved Jon's homage as well as Topaz's posting of the performance. Seven long years without Johnny ... awful.

It is the only logical way for this being to transfer from this life to the next higher Plato.

Nothing hurts me more musically than Johnny not being in the R+R Hof. He deserves. It beyond a doubt.

One of my favorites singers♥️♥️♥️
So sad that the hall of fame a holes keep him out. The Crests? The Bridge? Each would merit his spot.
Hey man, it's the "Rock and Roll Hall of Shame."

Simply the Greatest
Legendary Johnny Maestro!
as a lead singer myself I echo the sentiments of Joel Reihleif. This guy was vocal precision and emotion combined... at it's best.
