    I love the fact that AOS didn’t feel the need to draw out the Fitzsimmons uncertainty and goes straight into Deke confirming that Fitz is a great Dad in the future and a great man.

    Leopold James Fitz is my favorite character in the entire Marvel Universe! That includes the part of him that lived thru the Framework, but mostly his entire Fitz arc.

      yep he was just a funny great guy at the start, but quickly became one of the best characters on the show, period.

    When I first watched this episode, and we got to the twist, I felt like I was coming apart! Like my body literally felt like it was vibrating and I wanted to make everyone around me watch the show! By this point in the season, I had given up on attempting to know what's coming next!

    *Seeing Iain De Caestecker play both Fitz and Leopold within a **_snap_** of the fingers really underlines his acting talents; not that they weren’t obvious before but… Damn, dude!* 🫡

    This one is hard to watch, in a good way. There are of course some side-effects of having lived an entirely different life as Scottish Josef Mengele, and the stress of the current situation was able to bring that part of Fitz out.

    " What does that make us?" This is the question the team has to ask themselves constantly with their choices. The line between Good and evil becoming blurred in this season

    Season 4 is my favorite season, but I think this is my favorite single episode of the whole show. The reveals from season 1 were great, but the fact this builds on so much more history is just great.
    Edit: Love your theorizing about timelines at the end. I don't want to dissuade further discussions of it, but be warned that you don't have all the data yet. I say that just so you don't over-stress about it.

    Welcome to arguably the most controversial episode of the show! It still causes endless debates to this day 😅😅😅 I appreciate seeing your take, you caught a lot of nuances that some people miss. Also, Iain's performance is phenomenal. I love Deke comforting Jemma by revealing he's her grandson, their relationship going forward is very dear to me. Try not to worry about the time travel stuff too much, it'll make your head hurt, and there's more important info to come still.

      This is the episode that made me stop interacting with the fandom for a while. The amount of Fitz stans that were annoyed and hated on Daisy for being upset over what Fitz did to her was insane and made me step back. Like, there are people who completely absolve him of blame just because he has mental issues and think Daisy should just forget about it and not be mad. They have no nuance over the situation because he's their "fav character" and he can do no wrong in their eyes and I'm honestly not exaggerating.

    Ians acting this episode was just superb like damn he killed it acting as two different Fitz and he traumatized Daisy he forcibly did surgery on her and gave her her powers back like he could have just told her we need your powers to put the gravitonium in this device. I love Deek going to Jemma and that reveal was so sweet and I don't think anyone will go back to the future cause the loop just hinges on Coulson not getting saved, Future Yoyo said to break the loop they have to let Coulson die and idk how Coulson being saved breaks the world in half and the Kree take over the earth space sector idk but Coulson even said he doesn't need another life extension cause he already got one and I think the show could do fine without Coulson like we got 5 seasons of expanding his character since his Avengers death and we got a whole team of Shield agents ready to do the job without him especially Daisy, May and Mack could be the leaders if he does die

    The reaction to this episode when it first came out made me leave the fandom and just watch the show on my own for a while. The amount of Fitz stans that would excuse his actions 100% and actually blame Daisy for being upset and mad at him was insane. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you they hated on Daisy's reaction more than Fitz actions. And I know he's having problems with his mentality but it doesn't excuse everything

      I think the whole point is that they're talking about impossibly difficult ideas. That when pushes to the limit of desparation (the destruction of the universe) what is right and wrong, and in those situations is it so messy that everyone has blood on their hands no matter what they choose. That's a big reason I love this season so much.

      I think fans were trying to reconcile the Fitz that we know with the Fitz the Framework made him into. At the end of the day, you really can’t excuse his actions. What he did to Daisy is terrible. But at the same time…he did what he had to do in impossible circumstances, and it’s not like he had access to therapy or anything in those circumstances. This whole season is really about morally ambiguous actions…are they right or wrong? Are they good or evil only in certain circumstances? It’s a lot to think about in general, and humans generally don’t like morally grey areas and tend to reason in black and white.

    • @ragtimeraver

      @@jessicamagri8211 Fitz didn't have to use Daisy to manipulate the gravitonium. Everyone else who has ever used it managed to do so without her powers. Fitz was just that unwell. It's a complex situation, but unnecessarily and violently violating your friend is pretty unambiguous imo.

      @curtismurphy6206 I'm thinking over the entire series. He suffered a lot of physical abuse that got him to the point he had a psychotic break because he couldn't justify doing the terrible thing that had to be done.

    • @ragtimeraver
      @ragtimeraver 28 дней назад +2

      @@AmyL._orcgirl Except the terrible thing wasn't necessary at all. Everyone else who has ever used gravitonium managed to manipulate it without Daisy's powers. Fitz was just so unwell that he couldn't keep the Doctor at bay, and violating Daisy is how the Doctor would've solved the problem instead of figuring out a more humane way like Fitz normally would have.

  • @mydavegabicycle
    @mydavegabicycle 21 день назад

    Fitz's brain injury was never completely healed. We see it after he gets out of the pod in the future where Enoch says that he has it in him when talking about playing a villain essentially. And when Fitz decapitates those Kree in the future with that booby trap and Jemma asks "was this always your plan?"
    He lived an entire lifetime as him and the stress fractured his psyche again. He mentions having heard his voice since the Framework, this just cracked it open.
    The guts of this show to have a development like this right after Fitz and Simmons get married. They could have also easily explained it away as the Fear Dimension doing it... Or that Fitz had no control. Maybe he didn't at the moment but him admitting he did the right thing despite it all makes it so grey. So good.
    If anything, Leopold here was an anti-hero. Without him doing the thing Fitz couldn't, the Fear Dimension would have taken over.
