Manu Ginobili pours in a career high 48 points against the Phonix Suns. He led San Antonio in a Texas sized 4th quarter comeback. The Spurs trailed by 17 entering the 4th quarter and came back to win in OT. Tim Duncan and Brent Barry also had big games. Manu Ginobili was on fire in Phoenix. Спорт
One of the most underrated players of the generation. I bet GMs were kicking themselves for passing on him.
the most exciting spur of all time and one of the best of all time.
agreed
ahead of his time too
Agreed.
He was always in his bag.
@@roblee6246 what’s that mean in his bag?
Remember watching this game when in middle school, exhausted when it finished. The dunk in OT is my best memory of Ginobili
I would expect the players to be exhausted in overtime and he came in and dunked like it’s the first quarter
One of the top nba all time foreign players
aldo villalobos best hispanic player of all time
@@fortyseven1476 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Suns got Ginobilied.
Suns got fucked by Robert hoary
Still remember watching this game late night on the east coast. So epic...what a fun series. Manu was an assassin.
it was a regular season game not a series
so he got his career high while hurt? holy cheeet
That dunk!!!
If Pop woulda let this man run wild as a starter who knows what Ginobilis legacy could have been. Still, it was an honor to watch this talent on my favorite team. Thank you Ginobili!
What do you mean? His legacy is already cemented as one of the greatest to ever do it!
I agree, Im just saying if he was given free reign he'd have easily put up numbers like westbrook does today. Pop has been known to kill players numbers for the sake of the win.
Yeah, that´s why Pop got 5 NBA Champions. He doesn´t care about player numbers, he wants to win.
and neither do manu..! He doesnt care about numbers, he only wants to win.. thats the wild spirit..
Ginobili is in my top 10 of most exciting players to watch
But how about those CLUTCH threes by Brent Barry!
Such an underrated player
Brent Berry is clutch, although Ginobli is the clutchest
Berry was a shooter
Whos here after his riterement
RespectMANU !!!
can you believe this guy is 57th pick??
the spurs has a knack for finding great foreign players...
Americans being americans.....looking over the shoulder of everyone else
@@fgotoman7431 rc buford was responsible for finding manu, and pops has no idea how good he was, maybe that was the reason why he was 57th pick.
The white mamba Manu
I love manu but there's only one white mamba and that one is the great Brian Scalabrini
@@nicolasreyes2190 Brian who??
@@nicolasreyes2190Jason Williams white chocolate
@@fedecasaresI'm closer to LeBron then you are to me
and he's a 57th pick hahaha
Just goes to show everyone that most NBA scouts are absolute incompetent retards
+Zach kwame brown 1st :s
These battles between the spurs and suns are legendary. Such great basketball.
ginobili just a beast.... he willlll get the credit he deserves!!!
Ginobili refuses to lose. He lives for the biggest games and the biggest moments.Ice in his veins, imo most clutch ever.
i just love the SPURS play. manu is my idol even he's not yet that famous...the way he play and so humble and a good ambassador to his country
Wow I want to say I remember watching this as a kid but looking back, this game was intense. I love the little rivalry between the Suns & Spurs back then.
5:32 HO HO!!!!!!!!!!!
Everytime the Spurs and Suns played between 2005-2010 it was an awesome game
4th best 2 guard of this gen., with only Kobe, D-Wade & AI (if you count him) ahead. 4 championships, 2 All-Star appearances (which is a crime!), 6th Man of the year, All-NBA........top 10 SG of all time, I'd have him and T-Mac at that 8/9 spot. What he did in the 05 Finals was legendary, it was a dead tie between him and TD to win FMVP that year
best SG in the game in 05 and 07? C'mon man... Just because Kobe's team wasn't good doesn't mean Kobe wasn't the best 2 guard in the league! Those were Kobe's best years... And i'm pretty sure everyone will agree with me when I say that Kobe has always been better than Ginobili, at every point in time! No disrespect to Ginobili, who's a hall of famer for sure, but Kobe is on another level
+Mo Hammy Oh no, I'm not saying Manu > Kobe overall, no way would I say that, Kobe is the 2nd best 2 guard ever imo. Kobe's best > Manu's best, I don't think you'll hear anyone disagree, same with D-Wade
I'd take Ginobili over wade A.I. and Kobe none of them could play in any system They get more praise because of people find them exciting Ginobili had no weakness in his prime and he could fit any system all those guys did was play more minutes Iverson is overrated just a volume scorer with a lot of heart wade wouldn't have that first ring if it wasnt for suspect fouls being called prime Ginobili prime Kobe put their minutes side by side then calculate the stats we have a different discussion if you didnt watch the spurs games you cant understand how great he was........just sayin
you have forgotten what he achieved in Europe and with his national team embarrassing USA Olympic team and in USA world championship not once but twice, a gold medal in Athens as well.
Underrated player but a favorite son in Texas for more than a decade
GINOBILI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
man that game is almost as insane as Game 1 of the 2008 Playoffs. to this day manu is still d'antoni's worst nightmare
Manu had that energy, that something that u cannot put into words. He wanted to win, he didn't care about personal glory. I love MJ and Kobe, but they (although better players) cannot even compare to Ginobili. He didn't care about the numbers, trash talking or what not. He came out from the bench, and did his thing, at the end of the day he's the player with the best win rate in NBA history.
This is the game that really got me into basketball... At first I was only watching because of Ginobili (I'm half Argentinian). Damn.
2 montruos en una sola cancha. Manu ginobilli y Steve Nash.
Ginobili never had a 50 pts game...but if he wanted one...He could do it....coming off the bench and helping them win more rings was more important #goateuroplayer
GINOBILI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A GUY!!!!
If only Ginobili started more after the 05-06 season. This man deserved more than the 6th man and I'm a Spurs fan
+100spurs nah man that was the planned strategy for him to come off the bench even though he was an all-star / future hall of famer.
+Paul V Both are right hehe..
Best spur ever
Man Ginobili was the biggest draft steal in history. Just amazing to watch...
Ginobili was a freaking beast in his prime even Kobe said that's a bad boy Ginobili was the 2nd best shooting guard of the 2000's behind Kobe better than overrated Allen Iverson and I'd give prime Ginobili the edge over Dwayne wade yes i know Dwayne wade averaged 25 points for his career even though Ginobili averaged 19 points that's him sacrificing points to Tim Duncan and Tony parker if prime Ginobili had his own team he would have been a MVP candidate just like kobe
Michael Vasquez PRO ACTIVADO PARA MI PARA LA FUERZA Y GTA
Overrated Iverson? LMAO
Are you laughing at how true it is? Because it is true that Iverson was overrated. Hardly anybody even remembers that ridiculous chump anymore.
Ginobili have no defense and rebound
Nino Fontanilla you must not have watched prime Ginobili he was an above average defender in his prime a big reason y he was always the spurs main closer he either took the shot made the pass or played the ball almost his whole career go back and watch he was always front and center in key situations
mitico partido de ginobili...siempre duelos infartantes con los phoenix
I felt like I was actually watching the game here! Now THAT is San Antonio Spurs basketball.
1000th like for one of my favourite players ever
he was my favorite since 2005...
MY ideal...(respect fom LITHUANIA)
MANU!!!!! el mejor deportista argentino por lejos...
manu es mi favorita... pero el mejor es messi
@@larryjacobs3637 Mmmm... no, flaco. El nivel de rivales de Messi es paupérrimo y el de Manu era enorme. Cuando Messi juega para Argentina desaparece, en cambio Manu siempre aparecía en todos los partidos. Manu le gana por muchos km de diferencia.
If I’m not mistaken this is the game where the spurs net had to be replaced and the spurs went on a little drought right after it was changed out with a new one. You can see in the 4th quarter how skinny and fairly new the spurs net looks compared to the suns side. Good times 😭
Oh, memories again.
The Suns, with Nash acquired from free agency and D'Antoni coaching his first full year, surprised the league with its breakneck pace and scoring bundles.
San Antonio exposed them with this game, while skeptics see the Suns running out of fumes come Playoff time. Tim Duncan was injured in the latter part of the season. Rather chasing the best record, the team staff chose health (ended 2nd best).
It paid off upon meeting each other in WCF. In retrospect, the biggest what if was if Joe Johnson being healthy. He tried to play, but his nursing facial injury made him ineffective.
Thanks for uploading. This was the first Spurs/Suns game of Nash's return to Phoenix. I remember jumping up and down on the couch during the comeback... Barry was money
So beautiful to see this again, also I wish the NBA matches were this exciting today.
one of the best nba comebacks ever hands down. great commentary too
amazing game, even the recount was exciting.
A fantastic player on the court, and a fantastic person off the court. Manu Ginobili is a pure role model.
One of my favourite games to replay. All round high energy game by both teams. Marion came up huge as well. Ginobili's round the back pass to an open Brown for 3 and his 2 handed dunk in traffic were amazing, he busted the net on his earlier dunk too. A well deserved 48 points from a monster of a second round draft pick.
All credit to Mike "BANG" Breen and Bill Walton for calling the game like champs.
Totally awesome.
See how he is not afraid of any defense thrown in his way. Toughness for manu is all about basketball, and not how you play rough with your opponent.
Wowwww. era una máquina!!!
@KarlMalowned32 by the way, awesome video...slowing down that dunk at the end, the presentation, including other important moments in the game...just fucking awesome all around...thank you
I remember watching this game as a teen.
That crossover on Joe Johnson into the dunk over like 3 of the suns in overtime- that was one of the coldest plays in nba history
wow Barry... slams & nails clutch 3s like a boss
great stuff
Grande Manu💪
Awesome game! Ginobiloi
Idol manu missyou
Man I miss Brent Barry. I was only 12-13ish when I was able to see him play, along with Horry, but man do I remember how clutch he was. My dad and I would be so excited to see him get on the court, because we knew a three was about to go down.
What a game!
@Lux210 Brent was huge in their title run that year...deadly from 3 point land
I wish manu still played like this:(
still a awesome player
top 10 of all time. That's real basketball.
Im glad you included that dope pass at 1:38!
I remember watching this game
buena dupla con barry y muy facil de confundir jaja se extraña esa epoca, q jugador unico e irrepetible!!! de los mejores de la historia
the suns vs spurs matchups were one of the intense games to see!
@KarlMalowned32 You make me remembered how good was barry shooting from 3-pt, awesome
2004 Manu was legit the best Spur on court most games before he got hurt. Even Timmy started deferring shots because Manu was kicking so much ass.
manu sos el mejor , sabelo!
Increíble...
5:30 two-handed power dunk over Marion and Stoudemire
awesome
Thanks for this NO-MUSIC video.
The best music is the original audio!
epic game
i remember this game was hardly even talked about, this was back when the Suns were LOADED!! Still the Spurs like always were 2 much for the Suns
Que enorme!
He could score anytime he wanted to, who could stop him.
what match!!!
Main reason I love Ginobli: His career high was a game he rolled his ankle, and badly. And the he didn't want off the court one second after he fell down just to take weight off of it. The dude may not show it the way American-born players do, but he's as tough and competitive as it gets.
Still remember this game like it was nothing, two STACKED titans facing off
MANU iS BASKETBALL
1:38 4 on 1 and a sweet behind-the-back pass. A Ginobili only play.
amen to that
brent barry was clutching hard
When he was young
i cant believe this suns team didn make it to the finals at least..hell of a game though
This was the old suns that were a great team
Obi-Wan Ginobili
5:30 Dang
Balki from Perfect Strangers got mad game
subbed
oh basketball
That 2-handed dunk was ultra-sickness.
No, at the end of the video the guy says the Spurs improve their record to 33-9, so it's halfway through the season. I watched this game that night and went apeshit.
1:37 the guy on the bench was like: 'are you fuckin.. ok I'm getting out of here'
Nice. Nash and Ginobli going at it with the who had the better mop cut? Now we need to go find Dirk.
No one is perfect.
the good days, when parker was still inconsistent, duncan was still duncan, barry was clutch and ginobili was an all around stud, with no bald spot.
Holy shit that pass at 1:36
Man. The western conference was the shit back in 2005-2010
Esa finta antes de la volcada.... god! 57 draft! who is the spur's high scorer in one match?
