Mortal Kombat 1 is a fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Games. It will be the twelfth main installment in the Mortal Kombat series, serving as both a sequel to Mortal Kombat 11 (2019) and the series' second reboot, following Mortal Kombat (2011). The game is set to be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows and Xbox Series X/S on September 19, 2023.
Mortal Kombat 1 has been confirmed to feature a story mode, online multiplayer with rollback netcode, and offline gameplay. The game will introduce a feature called Kameo Fighters, which will provide assistance to the player during fights. These characters will be separate from the main roster, and chosen before each fight. Additionally, the Air Kombat combo system which was featured in both Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and the action spin-off Shaolin Monks returns, and is being refined for this game.
As of the game's announcement date, it has been revealed to feature reimagined versions of characters such as Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena and Kenshi. Shang Tsung will be offered as a pre-order bonus. Six additional characters and five kameo fighters are planned for post-launch release via the "Kombat Pack" downloadable content, which also includes a skin for Johnny Cage featuring the likeness of Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Kameo Fighters are a unique roster of partner characters to assist during matches, creating expanded gameplay possibilities for players. These characters are chosen separately from the main roster of fighters.
Some characters can serve as both kameo fighters and main roster fighters. Guest characters can even serve as kameo fighters.
Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled to be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on September 14, 2023 for those who have ordered the game's Kollector's Edition and Premium Edition, while purchasers of the Standard Edition will be able to access the game on September 19, 2023 .

They couldn't give us Kronika Crown Jax, or Jacque. Hooded Frost, virtually every costume featured in the character endings of MK11 with a few exceptions, Cyrax, or Sector in MK11, most of the story mode characters in MKX. Among many other examples from Injustice. I'd keep my expectations low my friend.
If they’re gonna give us any of these customization options, then at least give us Cyber Smoke. He just looks too cool not to let us have as a skin, even if we’ll be trading in the kunai on a chain in exchange for Smoke’s full moveset.
Oh and Ninja Mime. Can’t go wrong with Ninja Mime.

Confused Cyber Smoke stares back.
It's cool to see versions of most characters on the "good" and "bad" sides. But it's kinda weird that they can tell who they should be fighting. Armageddon was basically a free-for-all, but this is a war.
They did get a good look at each other's sides before the battle kicked off, Union of Light saw the variants on top of the Pyramid and vice versa for Order of Darkness. Hell, who knows, maybe there's areas on the Pyramid where someone accidentally attacks their own side that we don't see.
Not all that hard to tell, anyone climbing up are the good guys, anyone climbing down to intercept are the bad guys, lol.
Yeah it would be so confusing, at least in Armageddon everybody was unique so presumably you would know who your friends are
yeah my thoughts exactly. at first i was like "how can they tell?" but of course, those who want to get to the top are trying to stop Titan Shang Tsung, those who hold their ground against the people climbing, or are climbing down are the bad guys lol@@Roler42

All those alternates are so damn cool. Tarkatan Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade as Kano, female Johnny Cage, freaking Goro as Shao Kahn and Shao Kahn as God-damn Johnny Cage.
You can tell they had a ton of fun just thinking of what combos to make.

It's so silly, yet creative that they have all these crazy, insane WTF timeline versions of these familiar characters where it's literally one character dressed as and fighting as a different character, with a silly portmanteau name to go with them.
And I love how Cyborg Smoke is literally there, but doesn't use any of his cyborg moves - only his human moves.🤣 Kinda makes me wish you could play as these WTF timeline characters since their movesets are already there since they're literally copied from existing characters.

I love how Bi-Han doesn’t sound as evil or cold-hearted compared to the one we got. He’s still got the ice puns but his voice sounds cooler and more chill.
i can't believe that the NPC was randomize, so every player will fight different set of NPC. it's pretty insane.
Liu Kano (Kano possessed by Liu Kang) from Quan Chi's ending has a timeline counterpart here and his name is Red Dragon. Yes, you can fight against a version of Kano here too. But it blows my mind that Liu Kano has an in canon name now!
As an Aussie myself, Red Dragon's my favourite (Liu Kano, or "Liu Kangaroo" as I call him)! The thought of Liu Kang speaking with an Australian accent, to me, is both a blessing & a curse.
You know what I love the most when devs or production teams go ham with something like this?
The fact that you can tell anything they were conceptualizing for this game ended up making it there, no matter how silly the idea was, and it's extra beautiful cuz you can tell they were having the time of their lives putting together this sequence and all the random alternate fusion characters, lol.

The way i see it:
Female Scorpion is Harumi just like in the invasion ending
Female Sub Zero is Frost who killed Kuai Liang/Bi Han and claimed the mantle for herself
Female Ermac is like the OG one but Sindel was killed instead of Jerrod an Ermac has her soul inside
Female Reptile idk, this new Reptile had a wife and son so maybe it's his wife the one who was Shang Tsung slave?
