I love how much she seems to love this film. Its the only acting role I have heard her not be reluctant to speak of in interviews. She never seems hostile about it unlike Gossip Girl. I love her Christmas posts on SM using grinch pictures. So glad she seems happy here talking about it. The grinch cartoon and original grinch story is my mom’s favorite. And it is nice that Taylor loves the happiness this film brings every holiday season.

Whenever Cindy Lou says "I just wanted everybody to be together for Christmas" makes me tear up every time.
I think the part where she said "Nobody should be alone around Christmas" was pretty heartwarming moment when she went to see The Grinch
Taylor Momsen is a real legend. She was part of a movie that's a classic for christmas at the age of 7 and she's now the lead singer of The Pretty Reckles, which already have five #1 on billboard👏🏽👏🏽❤
She is a very talented singer. So happy for her!

I kinda wanna hear Taylor come back and sing a rock/metal version of Where Are You Christmas.
You can definitely tell she's maturing and getting older. Before she always had such a cold personality in interviews and she seems a lot more engaged and warmer here.
To be honest a lot of people were quite hostile to her in the past and I think that mixed with shyness made her seem that way, I think it was a defensive action. Can you imagine being in the public spotlight ever since you were two years old and trying to start a band when everyone just thought of you as pretty little teen actress with no talent? She always said one of the reasons she wanted to be in a band was to have control over her own destiny.

Same with kristen stewart she was really shy in interviews. But current ones she is alot more chill and her personality comes out

I love how there is no regret from doing this movie. Some child stars regret their past works or hate still being connected to them years later. I feel it is a classic and I love watching it with my kids! I love her music too and while I was shocked to find out she Cindy Lou Who I was also happy because she succeeded in life where some child stars can just fade a way!
I remember watching a react video of Mara Wilson reacting to a video of kids reacting to her famous role as Matilda and I liked how positive she was being in the video especially when the kids didn't recognise the movie
It is because she has found her true passion - music - and ran the whole nine yards.
Good thing she didn't land the title role in Disney's Hannah Montana

No, the best version is the original cartoon. Taylor Momsen did a good job in this movie, but other than that, the live action is overrated.
The set looked ugly, like christmas in a warehouse. The writing was horrible and most the jokes werent funny.

@@zacharylee1995 Nope. For those of us who grew up with only the original animated story, nothing else will ever come close. Boris Karloff's narration alone surpasses all versions that will ever come along, not to mention being the only true voice of The Grinch. Taylor is the best part of the live actor version which is otherwise quite forgettable.
I like them all to be honest. My 3.5 year old likes the 1966 cartoon best though, but she has seen them all.
She should do a remake of ''where are you christmas?'' now, my heart would melt so hard!

i'm soo glad as a child you had a positive Hollywood experience!! There are 100s of stories of child actors who were abused physically and mentally! IMHO you made the correct choice by fronting a rock band! Saw you in Maplewood, Mn about 3 years ago. I was very impressed with the band that backs you up as well as you!!
Even luckier because she had nice parents! Some of the abuse that child actors go through it's because of how their parents put a lot of pressure onto their children once success reaches them and they get a bit too much of hot air and so they push them to succeed in most unhealthy ways. There's a reason why the phrase 'stage mom' exists.
I feel like she’s at peace with the film. I think there was a time when she didn’t like to acknowledge it or that it caused her a little pain, BUT now I think she can look back at it with pride. AND I hope she gets big fat royalty checks from this film.
Being part of such an iconic movie and now being part of such an iconic band, she is a legend, her vocals are amazing.

she seemed to go dark for a while. And I remember her saying or acting like she regretted acting. And wanted nothing to do with her acting past.

I said the same thing, which is why I clicked on it so fast. I'm like "she's smiling, lemme see what this is about", lol. I wonder why she didn't mention Gossip Girl, because for me, I had to put Jenny Humphrey and Cindy Who together. I didn't know that was the same girl. Cindy and Jenny are both iconic characters for fans of hers. I wish she gave some inside scoop on her time on GG. I won't hold my breath though, she sometimes alludes to hating her time on GG, I just wonder why.

Probably because the movie had a positive message to it. Despite the pressure isnt the most healthy thing to do to a child. I have heard worse fate of child actors, take Dana Plato. I mean its legit sad if you look up her past of child actor and how she ended up.
She wanted to move on when she was a teenager - what teen doesn’t want to move on from their childhood selves, and a 20-something wanting to move on from their teen years? She’s almost 30 now
That was really cool. I don't think I've ever heard her talk this much about that movie since she's been in TPR (10 years)

Taylor Momsen has done so well for herself. You see way too many child stars going off the rails and becoming cautionary tales, but she is *on the ball* man. Now she's a badass rockstar and a great role model.

And I think that Cindy Lou Who that she still has in her is that positive message of inclusion, giving everyone a chance to be a part of the crowd, being kind to others, and realizing there are more important things outside of material possessions.
A future legend, discussing legends she has works. So much talent. Don't stop writing and performing! You are a few steps above any other rockstar, of today. I can't wait for the new album to come out.

huge fan of TPR, but also that movie and the original cartoon are both classics, in my book and I make a goal to watch both every year. I remember back when Taylor first came out with the album Light Me Up with her band The Pretty Reckless, I thought it was so kool she grew up to be a rock star. not only that, but they're awesomely good at what they do and the music they put out into the world. can't wait for the new album. 🖤🤘💜
If they ever do a sequel to this they should say "Cindy finally grew into her nose" or something along the lines of that. I really love this move my family watches it every year and it was the only Christmas movie I ever saw in theaters

I hope that Taylor can truly appreciate her film fans as much as her music fans. While the band is incredible, the character touched a far bigger range. A huge talent, both as child actor and adult singer.

Man, she opened for Shinedown a few weeks ago at Nashville. I’d never heard of her band, so I was looking it up, and couldn’t believe it when I realized who she was.
I was surprised when I saw the first pretty reckless concert to learn that the singer who is the main girl in the grinch but that was amazing information

I'm glad they didn't put prosthetics on her, she was able to display much more emotion and at such a young age she did a fantastic job. Can't believe Im watching it with my own daughters now and they love the Grinch and Cindy Lou.

Until iI saw this, I did not know she was that little girl in Grinch. I did know she was in Gossip Girl, just from reading about it from that too, GG wasn't my type of fare. But seeing her then and now photos, I see it, like looking at old family photos of your folks/aunt/uncles and going wow, look I see some of you then in you now.
