@@davidbellamy1403 hi, I'm not sure if I can give you accurate suggestions, since I don't know most of these (I'm 19 and I'm from Brazil), but I really do like rock - and as many swifties have been wanting a rock album from her so badly -, so I'm gonna guide myself through that, and hopefully you'll like at least one of my suggestions. Oh, by the way, since you mentioned James Taylor, and I would probably forgot it if I didn't say it now, Taylor Swift was named after him, and she mentions his name on the song Begin Again (very chill beautiful song). If you want rock Taylor, looking for live performances is probably the best path to take, since she likes to twist her songs when going live - unfortunately, I haven't seen a lot yet (I need to be in a specific mood to listen to new music, so it takes me a long time), but one I absolutely love is the We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together 1989 world tour performance. As soon as I finish this comment I'm gonna get the link to put here for you. She completely changes the vibe of the song, and she's also playing the electric guitar (which is just a detail I love). I think the only other two live performances I can recall now is the I Knew You Were Trouble also from the 1989 world tour (this one I've only heard like yesterday, so I'm not so sure about it) and Wildest Dreams Grammy museum - this one is like a slow rock, just her and an electric guitar. And I have heard about a Haunted live performance that is just rock, I believe (haven't gotten to this one yet) and also Sparks Fly rock version, I think, both from a long time ago - maybe the Speak Now tour. But you would have to search those up, since I haven't seen them and wouldn't know what link too give to you. Now, talking about the tracks, I'm gonna go by album so that it is easier for you Off Speak Now (Taylor's Version): "Haunted" - possibly the most rock she's done on a track, and I really like it "The Story Of Us" - I think this one is kinda pop rock, but I really enjoy listening to it too (and I'm really bad with genres, so I'm really trying my best here) "Better Than Revenge" - it's a great song, sonically. The lyrics are very... Dated, you probably won't relate to it at all, but maybe it's a good one to just enjoy the sound "Long Live" and "Sparks Fly"- this two I think have some aspects of it... I think the drums and maybe a bit the guitar... I don't know, I'm really bad at genres "Superman" - I put it on now and it definitely reminded me of some old rock songs my dad sometimes put on, so that's the reason it is here "I Can See You" - no idea of what to say about this one other than the fact that I absolutely love it "Electric Touch" and "Castles Crumbling" - they are both collaborations and I think they're not that much, but the sound of them could fit somewhere in a rock album Off Taylor Swift (the album, also known as Debut): "Should've Said No" - one of the only three songs I listened to from this album and probably one of my favorite songs from Taylor... This one is just really good to sing Off Fearless: "Change" - The only one I can think of right now... I'm with my Spotify open and looking at the songs, but I have a headache right now, so maybe I'll come back tomorrow to see if I missed some "Come in With The Rain", "Tell Me Why" and "You're Not Sorry" - maybe they have some aspects... Congratulations Taylor Swift!!! I’m 73 and consider myself a Swiftie!!!! Thank you for being such a magnificent soul and human that shines so much light in these dark times!!!🥂✨👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️🇺🇸
Why are people asking why? Would you ask why if it was anyone else! Like Beyonce or adele? This has been Taylor's career in a nutshell! She has always had to justify her place in the music industry! Just look at the numbers, they do not lie! Taylor is the Man, period! It is time the media and people that have mocked her, give her the flowers she deserved! She has never ask people to like her music, just show her respect. 2023 was Taylor Swift! Thank you, my Queen!
Not a swiftie but i have to admit, she's been a force her whole life and now she is on top of the world. I think if she decided to run as an independent, she'd become the first independent to win since 1850 (Millard Fillmore) for President of the United States.
Taylor has broken all records! And when there were no more records to break, she started breaking her own. Whether you love her or hate her, you cannot deny she is one of a kind, a masterpiece. #GoTaylor
Her work ethic, commitment to the shows, rehearsing but also not forgetting to have fun and live in the moment, acknowledging to being in spotlight but finding spark in it and obviously her bonding with her family and cats The way she handles the critique and mostly comes back stronger through her art and not being mean to them. Finding a way of inspiration after losing all her master's. It's all just so suureal and she deserves every bit of success that she has today. I just love her so much and she inspires me everyday. Proud would be an understatement of how I'm feeling right now
Swift practically propped up not only the music industry, but became a net positive to the US economy of nearly US$6 billion. Small wonder why she won the award.
@KCNwokoye Almost no one has brought Beyonce into this conversation.. I CAN TELL, deep down you want people to do that so you can start causing DIVISION..
Newscaster was a bit rude about Taylor. Jealous much? Look at her impact on our country lady? She has a fantastic audience. She’s a masterful storyteller. She’s more beautiful inside than outside. We’ve watched her grow from a little girl. She’s a true phenom. Bless her in her success because she uses so much of it to help others. She provides an economic engine around her! Love her since forever-congratulations!
You go girl, seems this has been the year for Taylor Swift just want to send some ❤to her as a fan of her music 🎵 but she seems to be genuine nice person overall.
Thank You Taylor for not staying inside the BOX the system tries to put us in! So grateful You fought the gardeners that tried to cut you down because The Aroma of Your Blooms is a True Blessing to this World!!
People also don’t talk about all her donations this year, whether it be to food banks, children charities, or for cancer. She never mentions it, but those org do
Taylor has done what no other celebrity has done by telling her swifties to register to vote and 35,000 of them did in one day. Other Swifties also have large following. Republicans don't care for that at all. She knows the stakesand took the plunge anyway. Go Taylor!!!!!
Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee won awhile back. When she tried to get her 12 yr old fans riled up against her. Nice try. She is a climate carbon nightmare and now a billionaire which u progressives despise. She lives in her bubble. Dont even try it
and with all that she hadn't spoken about the genocide. although i kinda understand that taylor has vener talked politics i think??(idk I'm not a swiftie)
Taylor I love you, you have changed, impacted my life with your songs. I feel not alone in this world by you, through your music and the things you say. You are a rare Diamond! Congrats to you!
I'm not a Swiftie but Taylor has been in this industry for so long and she seems to get better and more popular as she goes. I've never listened to her songs except the famous ones played in the mall or radio, but this year I decided to listen to some of her songs because of all the commotion going on around her and I actually found some of her songs to be a masterpiece. also, her relationship with Travis kelce is one I have been kind of obsessed about because even if you are not a Swiftie you've probably seen her on the tabloids o who she dating and I'm a huge Travis and Jason fan so I really do hope they last because, in a world boys, Travis is a gentleman!!
Well this couldnt have happened to a better gal. Im a bit older, but my goodness she knows how to bring people together and its wonderful to see that. The girl has a big heart and is everywhere.
I'm happy they chose Taylor, someone who bring love, happiness, art, joy, inclusivity all over the globe through many generations. A politician is chosen/inherit the status Taylor earned it through hard work and talent.
Discussing her movements is like discussing politics or the weather-it's a language that's widely used and requires no additional context. Taylor Swift has become the protagonist of this world. If you're skeptical, consider this: How many times have you talked about Taylor Swift this year? How many times have you seen her picture while scrolling through your phone? Are you one of those who make the pilgrimage to the city where she performs? Did you buy tickets to her concert movie? Have you liked her Instagram posts, laughed at her tweets, or clicked on news about her? Have you ever found yourself humming "Cruel Summer" while waiting in line at the grocery store? Do your friends admit that they watch clips of the Eras Tour on TikTok every night? Or yourself? TIME's 2023 Person of the Year | Taylor Swift 。
I'm the mother of two daughters and I "try" to be present in their lives as much as possible and also give them the freedom to enjoy their teenage years without being a "helicopter mom", and IT IS HARD! Much harder than when I was a teenager that's for sure. One thing I notice is that Taylor's persona is somewhat saccharine NOT in a bad way but a way that young women can relate to. Taylor's music isn't violent or political there isn't a strong sexual content in her music like Beyonce or Rihanna's music. I'm using a bit of a cliche here when I say that being a teenager is "hard" and sometimes for a teenage girl she will find it difficult to navigate her feelings and emotions, the added sexualization to that mix becomes overwhelming creating opportunities for disaster and unwanted situations.
Well deserved. Taylor is one of the best artists ever. She is a complete artist: singer, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, music video director, entertainer.
The ONLY reason she was picked by TIME, was to sell as any TIME magazines as possible. Joni Mitchell is considered by her peers to be the greatest music artist in the last 75 years. Listen to her music and then listen to Taylor Swift's. Joni Mitchell has 100 times more talent. Swift records are very simple pop songs. If Taylor was 5'1 and was average looking, she wouldn't be as popular.
Joni Mitchell was a folk/pop star 75 years ago. 75 years in the future, the same thing you are saying about Joni will be said about Taylor. Cope better, dude.
They couldn’t pick a better person. She is loved by so many generations.
There was a plethora of better people than her to choose from.
It's a male posing as a woman please wake up.

You go girl, seems this has been the year for Taylor Swift just want to send some ❤to her as a fan of her music 🎵 but she seems to be genuine nice person overall.
Hell yeah 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 we love you Taylor
She is the moment
She's truly earned her recognition. She gives back, too.
Seems like an excellent choice to this 74 year old
That's really cool. I can't think of another entertainer who won TPotY without entering politics or activism
Thank You Taylor for not staying inside the BOX the system tries to put us in! So grateful You fought the gardeners that tried to cut you down because The Aroma of Your Blooms is a True Blessing to this World!!
No competition!,! 💋💋
People also don’t talk about all her donations this year, whether it be to food banks, children charities, or for cancer. She never mentions it, but those org do
A shining light and more!
Wow that's a huge honour to go with all her other achievements ......
Taylor has done what no other celebrity has done by telling her swifties to register to vote and 35,000 of them did in one day. Other Swifties also have large following. Republicans don't care for that at all.
She knows the stakesand took the plunge anyway. Go
Taylor!!!!!
If she decided, chose, to be a future President, ... ahhhhh, America would return!
@@lilibethramirez2756She's a gifted entertainer. She doesn't need to give running commentary on world events.
@@crouchingcaterpillar yeah and because of that she has a big influence, just one small act from her can help a lot.
Yeahhhh!! Taylor Swift ✨❤️ She so deserve it. Thank you Times Magazine. Well done 🇺🇲
Taylor I love you, you have changed, impacted my life with your songs. I feel not alone in this world by you, through your music and the things you say. You are a rare Diamond! Congrats to you!
Well deserved!
absolutely deserved!!
Taylor Swift 💗💗
Wonderful choice!
Remarkable and gorgeous young woman! Congratulations Baby Girl!
Nonsense. I'm a fan, but there are many others doing much more impact full and important things who deserve such a title.
Taylor Swift is an event. A wonderful, beatiful event...
Refreshing, Classy, well spoken!
That black guy had to bring Beyonce lol it is not about Beyonce or black person. Let Taylor shine alone in this moment
Taylor!!!!😊
Love you taylor
Love ya, Taylor.
I'm not really into her music, but I can certainly respect her impact and accomplishments. You don't have to be a fan to recognize that.
Congratulations!!! Genius❤❤
Well deserved!! 💙
Well this couldnt have happened to a better gal. Im a bit older, but my goodness she knows how to bring people together and its wonderful to see that. The girl has a big heart and is everywhere.
AYEEE CONGRATULATIONS QUEEN 👑 She is sooooo freaking awesome n talented ❤️
I'm happy they chose Taylor, someone who bring love, happiness, art, joy, inclusivity all over the globe through many generations. A politician is chosen/inherit the status Taylor earned it through hard work and talent.
Love you Taylor! Its about time she gets the recognition she deserves!! ❤❤
Congratulations! Taylor
Discussing her movements is like discussing politics or the weather-it's a language that's widely used and requires no additional context.
Taylor Swift has become the protagonist of this world.
If you're skeptical, consider this:
How many times have you talked about Taylor Swift this year?
Congratulations 🎉🎉Taylor.
And she is kind!
She is amazing and legendary she deserves it
Perhaps she will keep the 'Orange Jesus' out of he WH?
She is just awesome!
Taylor & Beyonce saved the global economy! ❤❤
People's obsession over A.I. should have been the so-called "Person of the Year"..
Well deserved. Taylor is one of the best artists ever. She is a complete artist: singer, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, music video director, entertainer.
TIME has lost pretty much all credibility. Swift has made a lot of money with minimal talent.
She really connects with her fans and she is good to her employees, it makes a difference.
She might save the great USA and ultimately a lot of the world!!!
No other better person than Taylor Swift
I didn't get the hype until a friend made me listen to "You need to calm down". I instantly bought all her music. #Legend
Just when I thought she couldn’t dominate the year anymore.
More than an artist. She is a wonderful human being both inside and outside.
Oooo Meredith must be jealous that Benjamin got the cover and she didn’t😂😂😂🤣
I became her fan since Evermore & Folklore, these two albums are lyrical genius
Taylor Swift is the zeitgheist.
Yaaaaaas Queen, bless and thanks !!
We stan a Queen. ❤️👑
She saved the #nfl. ❤🌈
She is perfectly rated .
#SelfMade that's all....
PEACE ✌️ ☮️ 🕊 AND PRAISE
is that even a question?
He'll she's our first female president
87 + 13 = 💯 All Right Now!
Taylor is wonferful ❤ ! I love her so much.
Well deserved!
Те кто не с США знает хоть одну песню Тейлор Свифт? Она кроме США популярна?!
Yes, that's why her Eras Tour takes place on many continents.
Taylor really was a phenomenon,this year,breaking records,left and right.Congratulations,Taylor.💛🧡💜
