Took me a while to warm to Beemers. My second car was an E21.320i (1982). Hideous orange/red colour. Never loved it and eventually moved it on for a Mk II Scirocco in White. Now Daily an F31 320D M-Sport and it is the best all rounder I have ever owned.and I have owend a few.
We agree - 320D is everything you need for a daily commute! Cheers!
Some mistakes - E21 started in 1975 right from the beginning with a 320 with carburetor and the 320i with injection. The E36 316i was never available as convertible. Nevertheless a good overview.

In the US the 320i was the only E21 introduced.

This car was built by the firm of Bauer and sold via the BMW dealers. They were called Baurer TC. These were also available as E21 and E30 two-doors.
Dear Bimmertech Team
As u guys rightly mentioned that F30 has the worst headlights,I own a F30 LCI which came with LED headlights and it has very poor illumination..very difficult to drive..Is there a solution to improve the lights.?
You can try anti-dazzling coding, but hard to tell. The best for you would be to visit your BMW service or dealership :)
F series is peak.

F-series is a peak performance, E-series is peak in terms of BMW styling and character
Looks wise, after the e36 nah, e30 and e21 the best ones closely followed be the e36

@@bimmer-techmm not for me too much of a jelly mould looks wise, but I forgot to mention the 1960s/70s 2002 range on my list , further down the line deffo the e28 & e34 , all 7 series look off to me barring the 1st one the e23 was a good looker.

Haha, you can't really tell - it's a secret option that you can order only in BMW showroom telling the password: I like Audi

It is possible, but you'd need to replace the whole system. Check the compatibility with this product: www.bimmer-tech.net/category-nbt-evo-id5-id6-navigation-system-retrofit

I bought E36,90,F30 and G20. Their focus changed since F30, technology and gadget are the priorities, performance comes second, no longer the ultimate driving machine like it used to be.
If you want ultimate driving machine, you should get M3 or M340i, which wasn't the case back in the days..
New M3 and M340 only car is driving the driver, not the driver driving it. If speed is what I’m after, electric car will do the job.
Have the G80. Fun fun car.

The 3 series died after the e90 and even the e90 was a stretch the e46 is a much better car
E90 was quite a jump in terms of tech and safety, hence the considerable loss on driving feel
The '76 320i had a 2 liter engine in the US

Hi Bimmertech. I have a problem. I bought an 6wb to my f34 and got a fiber optic cable. But i dont have an input for the cable on my head unit, have you expirienced this before and what can i do?
