Does anyone else from Scotland get anxiety when she just bites into the teacake? Surly all Scots eat the chocolate first then eat the mallow and then the biscuits?

Hey I'm from Scotland. Although we have some traditional foods we probably just eat the exact same way as the rest of the UK. I never eat haggis and never even heard of the lunch time meal 🤣. The most popular thing in this video I would say is Irn Bru and the tunnocks biscuits these are extremely popular, I actually stay next to the tunnocks factory🤍

I know the guy who invented it 😅 also no one in Scotland makes their own tattie scones or square sausage, we just buy them from the shop. Cullen skink is a real winter warmer dish. Kind of a country pub kind of vibe. You do get haggis in the same shape as the black pudding. If it was in that shape it would come in a breakfast pack. Tattie scone we rarely make from scratch, usually buy them and fry them 😂 also we don’t eat deep fried mars bar… ever

I'm not far from Glasgow but I'd definitely say the most commonly eaten things from your video are the tattie scones (bought ready made and fried), haggis, irn bru and the tea cakes! Being Scottish and seeing the other comments or reaction to certain foods that are just so common here is so interesting!! Mince in Scotland is mince with onion, gravy and carrots like the inside of a cottage pie. Cullen skink is a soup and usually creamy. Square sausage is not just square normal sausage it’s beef and is more like a burger. We buy our tatie scones not make them. You do get sliced haggis in Scotland which you fry. Scottish black pudding is very different to English I’d suggest you try Stornaway it’s the best. Loved the video 💘

Brilliant video! 🤣 cullen skink is definitely more of a Scottish Highlands dish. I live in the Highlands (near Inverness for me) and It can be found on the menu in nearly every pub! It is usually more soup-y though! We also can buy our Tattie scones ready made, so we don't have to go through the hassle you did haha! Deep fried Mars bars are the BEST. From a Scottish Hannah to you, fab video! xxx

Definitely loved this video 😂 definitely buy the tattie scones from the shop - much easier! I also don’t like haggis. Another thing tea cake - when opening the foil, we always open it really carefully and was always told when we were wee that if you can flatten it out without ripping it and getting out the creases you would get a free tea cake haha. I’m from the North East Scotland. Great video 💕x

I love making tattie scones from scratch. I had never thought about square sausage not being commonly found outside of Scotland. I'm vegan and you can even get vegan square sausages up here and vegan haggis! This is making me want a full breakfast this coming weekend.
You're almost right with Irn Bru. It tastes better in a glass bottle which you can probably only get in Scotland. I much prefer diet irn bru but I think most people prefer the non-diet one.

I wanna clarify that much as these are Scottish foods, this is not a Scottish diet, hahaha. We're not that bad! As others have said, would never make a tattie scone from scratch! Guessing you can't buy them in England but they're much less hassle than that. I actually had one this morning, haha. And love black pudding! The Tunnocks Teacakes/Caramel Wafers are definitely staples as well! I love haggis but prefer it with neeps & tatties to having it with breakfast - give it another go in winter! I've never had Cullen Skink or a Deep Fried Mars Bar but have seen them both - the former in traditional pubs and the latter in chippies, haha. I can't stand Irn Bru and always feel like a bad Scot for saying that! Loved this video, been looking forward to it since you asked on Insta! 󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿xxx
