This is was shot where I live and they had the roads and stuff blocked. When I found out Fincher was directing it I was in complete shock. Pretty crazy considering he is my favorite director.
@@theadhi3216 recent Windfall is great. He also wrote Fincher's episode of LDR which was based on a short story. The Killer's also an adaptation. I love Finchers films but anything with Fassbender is an automatic yes for me, ever since I saw him as Edwin Epps in 12 Years a Slave, he’s been one of my favorite actors working today, easily.
Shame, Hunger and 12 Years A Slave are all Steve McQueen films that star Fassbender. Steve and Fassbender have a great working relationship, hopefully they do another film together soon and hopefully this is the start of Fincher and Fassbender
I'm absolutely PUMPED for this movie. So good to see Fincher doing thrillers again. Pretty much inevitable that Reznor/Ross will do the music again, but I'm waiting for the announcement! And the trailer!!
I just saw this. At a special Academy screening here in LA. David Fincher was there too. Among his crew. I got to talk to him. A few times. It was great. He was very friendly. Amusing too. The film is great. Some cool shots in it too. Fassbender is good. My favorite actor. Can’t wait to see it again.
I have been waiting for the next David Fincher film! Definitely one of my top 3 directors alongside Nolan and Denis Villeneuve.. but Fincher just knows how to make a damn good thriller/crime movie
Fincher’s overwhelming specificity and intellectual precision is what makes him one of the great auteurs working within the studio system and Fassbender is quietly one of the best actors of his generation. I cannot wait to see this piece of work….
Just came from the cinema watching it with my girl. Was it a comedy? haha. Bizarre film indeed. Not bad, not good, seems to exist for no reason. Fassbender essentially was taken on holiday and they asked him if he would mind making a movie he didn't need to really act much in. Still, it was silly. Better watched on netflix tbh.
It's so great to see David Fincher back in Thriller. He is the modern Hitchcock. In these modern day of Marvel mess, people of cinema have forgotten true Auteur. Sad.
Can’t wait for this movie.. but part of me wishes they didn’t show these behind the scenes shots revealing how all the driving scenes were shot on stages with backlit screen.. it’s kind of amazing how I honestly thought they were all practical while watching the trailer.. and this kind of ruined the illusion for me 😅
This should be amazing, Fassbender is a phenomenal actor even tho he's picked some bad scripts, and Fincher is one of the best filmmakers working today.
Looks like a pure genre film made with Finchers characteristically maniacle attention to detail. Pump it into my fucking veins. Fassbender is wonderful.
Finally, Michael Fassbender's agent gave him something that actually could be good/great. These last few years his agents had been giving him TRASSSSSH projects.
If you're interested I'd suggest you to watch: The Social Network, Zodiac, Fight Club, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Se7en, Gone Girl Mank is extremely underrated but it's in black and white so you do you Panic Room, The Game, The Girl with the Dragon tattoo are pretty damn good too but not as much as the others (to me) And I haven't watched Alien 3 so I can't vouch on that one
Where was he when they were casting Bond back in the 00’s. I love me some Daniel Craig, but Fassbender exudes 007 charm naturally with just a hint of datkness just beneath the surface. The Killer will show everyone…

Mostly rear and front projection, not green screen. Although Fincher has been heavily invested in digital compositing since his movie career started. Did you watch Mindhunter? Literally tons of VFX shots, but all done so tastefully most don’t notice.

Netflix, Masks, Fassbender... Fincher isn't a free filmmaker. I bet he has to make a lot of compromises and is not allowed to implement many things as he would like. BTW, I hate greenroom🤮
Couldn't be further from the truth. Everything that you see here is exactly the way it was planned give or take an inch. He has, on the few interviews about the topic or with him in general for that matter, stated numerous times that he has never had as much freedom to do exactly what it is he needs to do with the material than he has ever had before whilst working with NETFLIX opposed to the OLD Studios.
