Quick couple of points on rugby tackles. They tend to be lower on the body. Partly for safety rules and partly because what happens after the tackle. The ball is still live but neither the tackler or tackled can compete for it. So you want to try to bring the player down in a way which makes it easier for your team. Lots of detailed rules here. But landing on top of the player and limiting access to the ball is bad More importantly though, is you are much more likely to see tackles coming. So if you watch rugby they run upright for vision and then dip for contact. If he makes the team one of the interesting things to watch will be if and how he changes his style. If he plays most special teams, the nature of the player positions may mean the rugby style is better because there's nobody behind you. If he plays in the offence he's going to have to adapt although it may end up a weird hybrid because if he gets a place in the offence it's likely because of his gap finding ability It's worth looking at the Jarryd Hayne highlights. They aren't exactly equivalent, but I think it gives an interesting example of a rugby player playing football. Both strengths and weaknesses
Having lived in TX for a decade, I'm still a huge Longhorns fan. I watched Worthy's first game and every one after. It was clear as day that he was going to be a star. Him and Bijan on the same team was a blast. Hes done a ton of damage over the middle of the field and is fearless in going after the ball in traffic.
I don't get the Mecole Harman hate. Last couple of years he wasn't used. Before his initial injury he was lighting up the redzone. Might be solid camp competition for Sky Moore.
