Thank you for the videos you have done on the Arken Optics Zulus. I am 48 and my eye sight certainly doesn't work as well as it used to during twilight. So, I ordered one to make up for that last 30 mins of daylight. I am sick of missing out on the deer that come in during that last 30 mins. Just missed another yesterday. I know they are there because, I use a thermal monocular to prevent spooking deer as I am walking in and out of the woods. Also, in that last 30 mins I use it to see if anything is headed my way. Some people may not find this fair when it comes to hunting but, IMO we are the advanced species supposedly. Though are we really? A deer can pinpoint where I am at with sound, smell me from 100 yards and never show up, and while their eyesight isn't as sharp they have made up for it by being able to detect a leaf moving from a vast distance. On top of all of this, they can see in the UV spectrum, WTF!?!? Deer are AMAZING! From the sound of it, I won't even need that IR Light. The little amount of daylight will be enough to help me see what I need to.
I bought Samsung NR-35-E batteries for my Zulus, this is the best option, as they work well at low temperatures. There is an honest capacity of 3500, but you need to pay attention to the date and year of production encrypted in the letters, I bought M, 2023.
Great video as usual. I ordered my Zulus HD 5-20 on February 20th and it arrived February 26th and the batteries arrived with it. I charged the batteries overnight and put them in, to my surprise they only showed 50% charged. I recharged both batteries again and placed them in one at a time: same result. I ordered a set of 18650 flat top 3400 MAH batteries off of Amazon for $16. Charged them up and they only showed a 75% charge. Your thoughts on this matter. Love the scope, picture is crystal clear in the day and very clear at night with the night mode and using the IR light. Everything works as stated and I'm very pleased with the scope, I'm just weirded out with the battery situation.
I bought panasonic 3500 flat top batteries for mine, seem to be good so far, running on IR auto mode, was going to try out a samsung brand next. I like how the scope has standby mode, with a touch of the power button it wakes up instantly
I grabbed an Efest 3000 from Amazon as a spare for mine. Now the original is a spare as i'm sure i get more runtime from the EFEST... the battery supplied by the dealer (optics warehouse) was much lower capacity.
Would be nice to have received batteries with my Zulus. I ordered the Zulus and the LH4x16x44 scope Dec 7 of 2023. Finally received the Zulus the 1st week of April, but NO batteries. Still NO BATTERIES AND NO SCOPE.!!! Very aggravated and disappointed with Arken!!!!!

My eyes are on the down slide too!

Interesting. I be curious to know how long one those 50% would last.

I won a Zulus in a Give away ... But it did not come with batterys. Do you have any you recommend?
I use the ones Arken provides. Are you on the Arken Facebook page? There are a few users who use others.
Every shop I've seen selling these scopes, all state batteries are not included.?
Originally they were. At some point may been pulled. But could also be unethical sellers

Have you sourced an alternative battery?
In the screen shot (2:47-3:17), while the IR was turned on, the illuminator appears to be off (red line thru bars) unless I'm missing something.
It may been in that screenshot. But I did keep it running while playing around getting some shots....so your eyes correct
@@RugerGundog Thanks!
