I'm a 58 yr old guy who likes to SHOOT real guns and hadn't gamed since late 80's but fell in love with RE4 VR when we bought Oculus Quest 2 for my son's Christmas present. Spent several hundreds hours since, enjoying IT immensely. I'm one 🌟 away from unlocking the HandCannon right now. Reviewing your techniques and approach to different minigames with different characters was EXTREMELY helpful to an old part time (RE4 VR - exclusively) gamer like myself. Just unlocked the handcannon today. 125000 on VR is surprisingly easier than getting 60000 on console. i remember it taking me and my friends ages to get the handcannon on console. Certainly helps only needing to do it with one character. HUNK for village and WESKER for all other stages made short work of it. think i got 125000 on castle and island first time with WESKER lol. Also helps having watched these guides and memorizing the levels over the years from playing console.
Indeed, the freedom of movement certainly helps. And these videos weren't intended as guides, whereas I actually did upload full guides. But hey, congrats on getting the handcannon ^^
I've managed to 4 star every map but I've struggled reaching 5 star. I've found your vids to see if there are any tricks that I'm missing that might help with that extra bit of pointage. Thank you for the upload. I think my biggest issue is not keeping the kill counter active long enough. It tends to drop when I go looking for time. Highest I've reached is maybe 30.
Great job coovering all the characters for 5 stars on every map! For classic conditions, you would now unlock the Handcannon lmao. Are you going to try doing the challenges now? The unlockables for them seem really interesting (like big head mode and golden guns)

Well, Doom was my first game so I guess I adapt well to that playstyle. And yeah, 5 stars is 125k now, but you only need to get 5 stars on each stage once to unlock the handcannon.
@@themanicman8458 That is correct, the original was only 60,000. Due to the advantages of the freedom of aiming and movement in VR, they increased it to 125,000
Also, you can dual hand the sniper rifle and not hard scope if you shoot it on its side. Just need to try your best to line up the barrel with your target (Watching early, idk if you do it later, will edit if you did)
Yay, finally you get to my Wesky🥰😆 Are the characters pretty much the same like they are on consoles, or are they more even? Will you be going for WR on this now too? If you don't already have them all lol
They're pretty similar, but grenades have been nerfed badly. And yeah, I'm going to go for WR on this version, the leaderboards are down so I can only guess if I have WR or not, but one potential WR is tomorrow's video.

Do you think that with the increase in points you need to get 5 stars, do you think newcomers will have trouble getting that score or is it to compensate for how VR makes the game easier?
Are the requirements for the handcannon the same as before or have they changed? I just noticed in my game on the rewards screen that it requires "20 stars" and so far I have 4 stars on all maps with Leon, Ada and Krauser but it says I have 16 out of 20 stars.
Welp I'm exactly 5 medals away from the Golden guns unlock but it's the Ashley challenge and God she so annoying like the untouchable one wasn't as much as she is
I think you'll find my actual high score is much higher and can be seen in other videos lol. These "All Maps" videos were my first attempts for the most part lol

@@Sarcosuchashis scores are just so much higher on every single one so it looked weird. But one of the challenges is only having 50 shots with krausers bow. And he has like 740 kills. The next closest isn’t even remotely close. How was he able to get 740 kills with only 50 shots?? I know there’s a couple barrels but there’s def not enough to get that many..?
Spawn lines? Idk where they would be for the castle. If u know u should make a video showing where there are cause that's probably why I find myself looking running around and not a enemy in sight.
@@redbeardevildead3459 I'll be making spawn guides and general guides; so its worth subscribing if you haven't already. But for Castle, the general rules are doorways and staircases have spawn lines. Watch my movements when playing Castle and see if you notice a pattern to my movements regarding stairs.
All of them are perfectly capable, its more down to gameplay and understanding how the game works. I'd recommend checking out my scoring system guide and tips and tricks for each character, as it mostly all applies to VR as well.

@@PauloRenatoSeraquini Because the points are added during the combo. Ganados are worth 300, with a maximum bonus value of 700. Look at the video. 1,000 points appearing above their heads during the combo.

@@Sarcosuchas I've been trying over and over to get this last one with Wesker on the dockside. I have a problem getting enough of them to spawn. Sometimes I collect all of the hourglasses and then I can get up to 100,000 and then they just don't spawn.
I like how when you get 5 star you don't stop going for more points.
For me, it's about how high can I push the points :P
I mean why would you? It's still fun to keep the streak going.

Grenades deal less damage due to their blast radius being nerfed.
Combo timers can be carried before being activated
Enemies are infinite.
One handing the rifle makes it so much easier, rarely look down scope..

My highest is somewhere between 185-195k. Can't remember exactly as the game only saves your top overall score.

For VR you only need to get 5 stars on each map once, so it can be with 4 different characters and the game won't care.

Because you're not moving over the spawn lines enough

Who would u say is best character for achieving 5 stars to unlock hand cannon. I am only barely at 4 stars with everyone unlocked.

I think Wesker might be the strongest or at least that's how it seems to me. His weapon selection and his melee moves seem the best.

What do you mean? The point system is the same as the original versions of the game.
