I don’t know what I’m doing here! I’m still in the process of learning all my triads. Back in the 80s I became a fan of Pat Martino via a radio show called mama jazz out of Oxford Ohio. I believe it was a public radio station for the college. And then I became a fan of Cal Collins. And of course I went out and found their music on cassettes. But listening to Pat I would hear things in his playing That seemed to not fit, and then again it did. Sort of like hitting a wrong note but it worked! Now I understand they were tension notes....
I find it more logical to spell it Gb instead of F# against a C7, so Gb=b5, Bb=b7, Db=b9 instead of #11, #6 and #1 (F# A# C#). Other than that cool lesson, thanks
Master John Stowell has a brief and neat explanation. Very well teaching
im still trying to figure out how these crazy esoteric superimposition work 🤣
These lessons are going to be incredible.

master ,
What’s the story with that guitar? It sounds beautiful, but has got to be the strangest looking axe I have ever seen!
Nice
I hit my head with a hammer to understand this. My head hurts.
0:49 Bb major triad over C7 dom chord
2:49 D F B down a half step. To C# E A
A triad = 13b9
8:19 triads
Bb no tension
A tension
F# and Eb
