You're welcome. Yeah, that fender mod was a must for me on the old Dyna Fat Bob. I know there are those that like the duck tail, but I was not one of them. LOL
Thanks for the video. I just swapped the fender on my 2017 Fat Bob. Your video and a lot of additional research made the project very smooth. Start to finish on a Saturday morning. Just ordered the 2010/11 FXDWG stock sissy bar to complete the look.
That one guy, i have been waiting to see this and i feel your pain when it comes to not riding. As my winter in CT is finishing up. Your bike looks amazing. Awesome job, it was worth the wait. Enjoy
Great to see someone wrenching on, and enjoying their bike! I personally like the duck tail fender I have one on my softail custom, but this looks good too! Have fun!
Yeah, I was telling another person that the stock fender started to grow on me, but I've had this vision of the chopped fender in my mind since I bought the bike, and am happy with the result. Thanks for watching and take care!

Looks so much better than the stock fender. The stock fender is maybe the main thing that's keeping me from buying this bike. I wish they came stock with that bobbed fender, since I don't have a work space or the mechanical skills to do such a modification myself :)
The stock fender is an acquired taste, I think. It started to grow on me, but I was still all-in for this mod. If you end up getting a FXDF and decide to make the change, let me know how it goes, or if you have any questions!
Question 🙋♂️ do you have any wobble at all on your bike? Once I get to 4th gear or 70 miles an hour it’s a wobble. Not a shimmy or weave or vibration.
No kit. Just like any other parts for older bikes, it's difficult to find them the older they get. I have links in the description to all the parts I bought for the install.
Congrats on seeing this mod thru to the end. Bike looks so much better (in my opinion) with the wide glide fender. That's cool you swapped to the Low Rider S seat. Looks good on there. How is the comfort level, compared to the stock one? Please let us know how you fix the warning light issue. Thanks for filming this mod & sharing with us. Enjoy !!
Like to see it with a lowrider fendercuz the fronts so big and wide and the back fender seems so small it looks good and odd at the same time lol i think it would look really good with the low rider fender
Great job! Looks way better. I noticed that you only have one part number for the inner support bracket with a quantity of two. Is this correct or is there one for each side? Thanks!
That is a huge improvement on the bike.. i really wasn't feeling the original fender. (Too long & a bulky tail light). Will we get a new intro with the new mods? 👍🏽
I bought my fender and most of the parts from surdyke.com. It's probably going to be difficult to find the part now that Dynas have been out of production for 4+ years now. Best of luck to you🤞🏽
Great job! Is that particular fender the only H-D fender that will fit outside of the stock Fat Bob fender? I'm personally a fan of the regular Dyna full fender but I'm thinking it won't fit on a Fat Bob because the rear tire is too big?
Thank you! I've never checked any of the other fenders, I just knew I liked the look of the Wide Glide, so that's what I went with. I don't know if the H-D site still does it, but I made sure the fitment was good before I did this. Dealers weren't much help, as I seemed to get a different answer from every person I talked to about this.
Part links are in the description. Unfortunately, it's getting progressively more difficult to find them, so you may have to use eBay for some. Best of luck to you ✌🏽
For me the original fenders look so much better. If you wanted a softail should’ve got one. The Fat Bob has its own beauty. But it’s subjective of course
Great job on the fender mod and video production. I just picked up a 2013 Fat Bob and want to order the parts from your list. Did you just use your local HD dealer? Can you provide the source for the parts list? There’s another guy on RUclips that’s selling a complete unpainted bolt on kit for $975 with plug and play light kit. Would you have considered this option if you could do it all over again? His light kit has an integrated light bar that has signal flashers in the same unit. Thanks for your input and great video(s). You can definitely use your local H-D dealer, with the part #'s I provided. I used Surdyke Harley (now Gold Star Harley), because they have a discount for all their parts online. In hindsight, I don't think I would have done much differently. I really wanted to do it all myself, not because I don't trust anyone else, but it was a way to really get to know my motorcycle, and I'm one of those people who enjoy the sense of satisfaction after finishing something like this. I really appreciate the sub! Ride safe!

I bought my fender (using the HD part # in the video description) from surdyke.com. You may also be able to go to a dealer and see if they can get it in, but surdyke has been my go-to for parts.

It was the harness under the seat. It had to be swapped out. The H-D part # on the work order was 70025-11. I used the factory turn signals, but the stand-offs were slightly larger, and never quite fit correctly, but I made them work. Good luck, and let me know how it goes! :D
