Okay I'm inspired. I need something like this over my dining table in my yard. I think I'm going to try my hand at something like this now! I have a more Polynesian/Tiki vibe going on so maybe something with bamboo? Or a wrapped in bamboo type of thing? I am curious how you came up with your base-to-height measurements to make sure it didn't topple over.

It was with a little bit of trial and error to be honest - thats what the originally temporary skids on the bottom were for, this helped me figure out what best dimensions to use, and then free-handed a shape from there! Not super specific, but hope that helps! Would love to see photos of what you create! ✨
@@rodneyandjake and it's dirty and you have to protect your lungs anfd it's slow going. Since we're talking about sanding why is it when I have a painted surface I have to sand it to make it rough but when I have a piece of wood I have to sand it so it's smooth?

How would you feel about sanding before there was a tool when you wrapped a piece of sandpaper around a block of wood?
Still think it’s a zen mindless task - but that would def make me think twice about what needs to get sanded 😂
