I love candles because they're such a conversation piece and can act as decor. They're nice to give away as gifts. And you can keep the jar afterwards for something else. I love the feeling i get from seeing the wax go down... that feeling of completing something. And the remaining wax can be put on warmer to get the remaining fragrance and repoured to make a small candle..... sooo many possibilities lol

I love your reasonings! No one mentioned about it being a decor piece at all!! Thanks Leda for watching!

I loooooove wax melts so much more than candles. Yes, i do love the beauty of candles, and dimming the lights while its lit, or while soaking in a hot bubble bath. But no candle has EVER smelled my home better than wax melts. The throw is so much stronger in wax melts. Plus, if you hate the scent, its $2, $3 gone vs. $20+. I love experimenting with wax melts. I take risks on them and 9 times outta 10 i end up loving the scents.

Salted caramel buttercream sounds delicious! I hope it's in my store. I LOVE wax cubes! I prefer them to candles because I want to smell my home fragrance right away. Candles take too long for me to smell them. With a tea light warmer, I can start smelling my wax cubes almost immediately. I also love to have a lot of variety and change up my scents often, so wax cubes help me to do that. I can't really choose a favorite scent because I like so many, but my favorite type of scent is sweet (bakery, fruity). I also like how I can leave light bulb or electric wax cube warmers on and not have to worry about fire hazards as much as with a candle. What a great survey. Thanks for the video!

I love both candles and wax melts, but wax melts have my heart lol 😂😌❤️ wax melts have much more scent throw than candles and they work much faster than candles do at throwing the scent.
I love the ambiance of the flicker of the flame of candles, but I also love the ambiance of a beautifully lit wax warmer as well.
I love wax warmers over candles because lately the BBW candles don’t have the same scent throw that they used to, they used to be so strong but now some of them are mediocre at best. But with wax melts they all have amazing scent throw and they are much cheaper than candles as well.

I love candles and wax melts. One thing I do is when a candle gets melted to the bottom I just let the fire melt the excess wax, blow the candle out quickly & pour the wax into one of my wax warmers

I loved this video! I'm a huge candle person just because of the vibe they set in my bedroom/living area, but I also use the small wax warmers in my bathrooms that plug directly into the wall! I think those are even better than wallflowers or plug ins tbh. So I guess I use both almost equally but for different reasons and in different spaces in my home. (:

I haven't used my wax melt warmer long enough to have that strong of an opinion on it, but I can already say that I think I prefer candles more. Like others have said, the flame flickering and ambiance created from candles is the best part besides the smell. They also really warm your room up, so they're perfect for cooler months. They also don't use or require electricity to run, which is a plus. I'm sure wax melt warmers don't use up THAT much electricity, but I don't like the idea of having hot melted wax so close to electrical wires and outlets.
The wax melt warmer I got is one that you plug into the wall and I'm definitely going to return it bc it's a bit lopsided due to the weight of the melting base, which is a big safety hazard in my eyes. I do want to purchase one of the standing warmers though and see how I like it. They are very beautiful and are much cheaper than candles, so I'm willing to give them another try. But I think candles might be a better investment for me.
Great video and fun debate!!! 👏👏

I was super into wax melts for years, but switched to wallflowers and won’t ever go back to wax melts. I have kids, and hated when they knocked over my wax melts. The burner also got nasty and was a pain to clean. The wallflowers last longer (most of the time lol), are 100% mess free, maintenance free.

I’m very much a wax person and i rarely buy candles but people give them to me... and when they do I burn them. I do by seasonal ones more for the look! To be honest, I would say wax melts are GREAT for beginners or just trying out scented wax products. Like I love me some candles, but sometimes I don't like the smell, yet I still have a hunk of it left. But if I'm head over heels for a scent or have a seasonal scent from winter, summer, etc, I get the candle version. Also if you have a candle that is almost done, I recommend letting it all melt till u can see it through the bottom of the glass (or just have all the wax semi-see through) and pour boiling water into the container. It lifts up the remaining melted wax to the top and then you can use it on the burner.

Wax melts are healthier. Burning wax and oils in a enclosed space is not good for you.
If you love candles keep two windows cracked open to get fresh air flow.

  • @h2t26

I find candles interesting, the flame is pretty and the wood wicks even give off a crackling sound like a small fire place, but starting to lean toward wax melts. Has anyone tried the linear they sell for the melts either they single use or the silicon reusable? Do they take longer to melt? Any issues? Recommended?
Edit: Forgot to mention, one thing about candles is that you can set up a cheap room heater with them, which means it's can actually safe you on heating bills unlike the warmer which uses electricity. Also each has a different container, unlike the melts which you will probably just have one or two. Also good idea to have one or two candles just for emergency lighting. As for the warmer, the reason would be the fire hazard of candles, and as the candle keeps getting reused the wax becomes will kind of gross. I can reuse the wax of a warmer, but I wouldn't want to reuse the wax of a candle.

I'm pretty deep into the "candle community" as well as the "wax world!" Just as a parent feels about their children, I don't really have a favorite! 😂 I definitely prefer the storage of small wax melts over the large jars of candles, but you can't beat that ambiance of a candle!
