I’ve been looking at rally towers and the Aurora Lite has my attention. I’m 75 now and use my 701 more as an adventure bike. Wind protection and gps mounting operations is my main focus. Thanks for the video.
I think your idea is right in in the correct direction. I recently sold this bike and already thinking about building another one. With the rally tower it’s nice to have the GPS as well as a phone mount on the tower. This really made for a very lightweight adventure motorcycle. I think you would enjoy a tower for the ease of mounting, the GPS as well as the wind protection going down the road! Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment always here to help and bounce ideas off of!
Glad to hear you’re happy with your build. I’m loving my 2018 701. I’m gearing up for 10 days in Death Valley. I’m thinking it will be a great fit for that terrain.
Thank you so much! Wow, 10 days in death Valley would be amazing! I used to guide motorcycle tour company and we did a 3 day trip through Death Valley. .The place is so vast that 10 days would give you the time to really explore and get to see it in its entirety! I absolutely love to 701 it and that’s a perfect type trip for it! Safe travels!
@@TRCa51 Question here, do you think is possible to mount the XTRIG ROCK TRIPLE CLAMPS on this bike platform 701 & KTM 690 ? or you will need to mood the clamps. Thanks a lot
I have to say I don’t have a great answer for that. I would suggest you reach out to the manufacture and see if it will work with the platform. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help!
@@stratoskatsipidis9395 I tried Rox Risers 2” but was too much for the cables to reach so went with the 1 3/4”. You’ll have to go behind the headlight housing and cut the zip ties and/or reposition wiring.
Very Nice Bike!! Hey Cloudland Not to long ago me and my Gf where there on our E bikes. my Talaria did that step short cut just behind you in this video. all stock power but i do have a 58T sproket. and im about 220lbs
For myself, 701 is the best choice because I’m more of a off-road guy. If I was more towards road and traveling long distances with also doing off-road, I would do the 890 as it’s a better highway bike if that makes sense!
Such a sweet bike, but show us some riding footage! We wanna see it in action in the awesome places you ride. All your videos of it so far are just talking about the bike 😅
Thank you so much! I will be doing some drone footage here soon! Well, as soon as they open up some of these local trails, or I have it with me on a desert trip! I had my Skydio 2 packed up with me on Saturday but unfortunately everything is closed off! I totally hear and understand you! I will also have some cool GoPro footage as spring is right around the corner and I have some big plans for the year! Thank you for taking the time to comment. I so appreciate you! Cheers!
That I didn’t know! Thank you for the correction! I know some of the party ships come from the UK. Maybe that’s why I thought that because of the shipping information. Thank you for the correction. I always want to make sure people can find him because it’s such a great guy to deal with!👍

If you could only have one ADV bike would it be the 701 or the 890?

I went to RUclips studios to try to do that, but don’t know where to do that at? Do you happen to know?
