I had a baby girl late September! She was quite small as well due to placenta issues. This lead to gestational hypertension and fetal growth restriction. Our baby girl was 4lbs 1.6oz. She was in the nicu almost 3 weeks.
Due to her size, her mouth was not able to latch on the nipple effectively. The lactation consultant at the hospital recommended a nipple shield. It helped so much and honestly resulted in breast feeding causing no pain. I used nipple cream a few times in the first two weeks I think due to irritation with pumping, but that was it.
I had a C-section and honestly loved the underwear from the hospital. It was high waisted enough where it didn’t hit my incision and was more comfortable then regular underwear. I did not bleed a ton after discharge since I had a C-section so I can’t comment on the care down there.

Also my hospital told me to take anything not nailed down which is amazing.
We did not need to bring anything for her besides the car seat and going home outfit as well. And I had to buy nothing for postpartum care.
Also if you are pumping buy a bra so you can do it hands free!

This is random, but please bring back the storytime of that wedding you were a bridesmaid in where the first maid of honor flaked out on you & the last minute bridesmaid was a nightmare.
Can you also include what the hospital gave you?
Haha I could not at the time of filming this but I can now! I’ll make a follow up video and recap what I used and what they gave me!
