A babu, many indigenous communities take white tika as a symbol of good luck and peace. Even in marriage and other major celebrations they use white tika. “ ki nalau layesi rato tika nai lau?” What do you mean. You still have the mentality of your forefathers of suppressing others and right of freedom in this age. While it is true that dasain was forcefully imposed on cultural and societal basis on the indigenous non Hindu communities, the history and origin of red tika in dasain correlating to dravya Shah and his killing of the then magar king has no historical evidence or even included in any scriptures.
