Dominican is a caribbean island and that is the accent they have all over. It's called patois or patwa!!

Lol, I am from Dominica, Portsmouth to be exact, and that is nowhere near ANY Dominican accent I've ever heard.

He lived in St Martin for a big part of his life so probably his accent also changed there.
