This time, I ATTEMPTED to stay at Blackpools worsr rated hotel, and in the end, due to the lack of heating on top of the rest of the problems, it was just too much & simply not worth it.
it was amazing and hilarious that my friend, the Hotel Hunter UK, ended up staying in the same hotel too!

You need one of those UV black lights to check the bed at night to see if the sheets are clean. The forensics team uses those lights for unseen evidence. The torches aren't expensive.
I wouldn't of gone any further than that reception. I would of walked straight back out . That is a disgusting place and should be shut down 😮

I'm now 60 plus, once there was a saying my mother told me - welcome to Blackpool luv! If my mother was still around she'd say, out of my way Joseph, let me get at that room! It would be ATTACKED with bleach etc! She would go at the owners with both barrels, not leaving until she got her money back! She'd then tell them Blackpool once had some pride! The reception desk was enough for me, in business studies I was told the reception desk is the first place where you have human contact with the owner! They and that desk HAS to be reasonable, or what image are they giving you about the standard of the room! Covid should have had Health Inspectors demolish these dumps! 😮

Alarm bells started ringing when I saw the state of the Reception "desk". Bell not working another clue. If no one appears to help me, in a shop, café or pub I walk away.
I used to work in a Care Home, sometimes we couldn't answer the front door immediately but I always apologised, whether residents' relatives or delivery driver. It's how I was brought up, family were shopkeepers

Very entertaining video, just like HHUK's video there i've been watching it while eating, only this time it was that little bit more traumatic! What a venue, absolutely no blaming you for getting out of there. Hello from California, new sub here. In 2013 I stayed at the Cecil Hotel in Down Town L.A. (you may have heard of it). It was in MUCH better condition than this place. This was one of the worst I've seen. Loved when you found the nibbled on crisp (potato chip as we say out here) under the sheets lol. I also loved the hazmat type suit lol. Anyways, great video, have a good one.
I'm from Scotland and was fascinated by the Cecil Hotel. I binge-watched all the videos about it!
How did you find it when you stayed there?
@@MontiguueOG It was pretty unsettling because I sat up all night the night before reading horrible reviews on it. Saying it was dangerous and scary. I wanted to go because of the history and the Elisa Lam passing was all over the news at the time. I am and was super interested in it as well. If you google Cecil Hotel Yelp the old reviews are still up. Click "Old to new" if you get bored and read through them. Interesting/scary stuff.
@@MontiguueOGI replied but It's gone now. maybe I didn't click reply lol. Anyway, I found it was scary and unsettling. I went back when it was super dangerous and not recommended. I sat up all night reading reviews of the place the night before I went and knew I had to go check it out. If you get bored go to google and search Cecil Hotel Yelp, then click "Old To New" on reviews and read some of the old review. They are interesting and frightening at the same time.

The barrows was awful. I booked a checked out stunk of smoke an geeae was filthy. They moved me to the hotel next door. The heating was on in the room. You couldn’t turn off the bathroom stunk piss was flies in the room. It was absolutely awful. It looks nice in the outside, but the rooms are horrendous. Loveing ur content xx

The stains on the pillow were sweat, the pubes were probably head hair…..but that said a homeless person would be more scared sleeping there than on the street! Barrow Tip is cleaner than that and the sewers. Looks like it’s in the progress of being demolished when you showed us other places 😢

As soon as I saw the inside of that room, it immediately reminded me of some of the urbex videos I've seen of abandoned houses that have been left for years! 🤣
Admittedly, not as bad as some of those places, but it's certainly on the lower end of the scale of places that haven't been looked after to say the least. How they can offer that as accommodation really has to be seen to be believed.

My first viewing oif your splendid site Dans room is 'spotless' by comparison, it is in a far worse condition than that of your colleague who welcomed you as a 'visitor' to his room, how many other "visitors" are in his room, 20, 30 thousand? That could be the mattress figure on its own. You are clearly are a seasoned traveller Adam and I/WE thank you for the presentation style offered. Twenty years ago I stayed in a Wroxham, Norfolk, hotel, booked 2 rooms as a good friend came with me - it could almost be the same gaff!! The Hazmat-type suit is an excellent idea . Do you have a portable sheep-dip that you and your friend could use on the way out? Thank you both ! VBW x P.S. Latex gloves take up v.little space!
