      I know right? Sounded to me like he answered a whole bunch of them as honestly and openly as he could. In the Joe Rogan interview he even admitted that his policies aren't silver bullets that can solve every problem the country is facing, but that he views them as important first steps in the right direction. How refreshingly honest is that?

      Yang consistently answers all questions directly and most often in great detail. If Andrew becomes President, he will set the bar so high, people won't want to settle for anything less than an honest person for President. Yang isn't afraid of the truth, so there is nothing to hide from.

      @@michelangelobuonarroti916 I'm conservative (voted for Trump) and I'm impressed. I could put up with Yang for 4 yrs., even though I won't vote for him. Unfortunately, I don't think he has a chance. He's just too smart for the Democrats.

    • @michelangelobuonarroti916
      @michelangelobuonarroti916 5 лет назад +13

      @@CatholicTraditional Evidently not. Democratic voters have already funded his campaign to make sure he gets into the debates. And as I said, Yang and Bernie have very similar policies, and Dems certainly appreciate Bernie.
      But, if you are right that Yang is too smart for the Dems, he'll need to abandon politics. He certainly won't fit in with the Republicans, who actually still believe that climate change is a Chinese hoax. Hard to believe, I know, but even their leader has stated that.

    • @punkgrl325
      @punkgrl325 5 лет назад +12

      Michelangelo Buonarroti You’d be surprised. Look at how many hardcore Bernie supporters on reddit are ridiculing Yang and his ideas. They hate the very idea of him being pro-capitalist because many of them see capitalism itself as something that should be abolished. Not all of them, mind you, but he’s definitely picked up some communist/social anarchist types that don’t care for Yang’s policies at all.
      Also not all republicans believe climate change is a hoax. Matt Gaetz is trying to wake his party up by proposing an alternative to AOC’s Green New Deal proposal, but with ideas that are actually more grounded compared to what AOC is proposing. I do agree he’s better off running as a dem though than as a repub. By the way, I’m a registered democrat, but an independent in practice, so I try to give both sides a fair shake.

    • @michelangelobuonarroti916
      @michelangelobuonarroti916 5 лет назад +1

      @@punkgrl325 That's really nonsense. There might be a couple of nutjobs that want to abolish capitalism, the same way there are righties who want to send all non-whites out of the country, but no Democrat candidate has ever suggested abolishing capitalism. The anti-capitalism thing is just a right wing scare tactic, along with their suggestion that support for Medicare For All means a candidate wants us to be Venezuela.

      Jamal Landry not really. Dems ran an awful candidate and has an awful 8 years of Democrat governors and president ignoring us and continuing to allow us to suffer and be underpaid unemployed with no medical shelter or any hope. Bernie supporters in the rust belt told you our truth and told you why SHE who only came to town for a $1000 a plate dinner photo op who locked us out would lose but you wouldn’t listen. Then the masses began screaming about Russia and whining on TV about how they are entitled and owed elections when we didn’t vote their way. @@Frost517 You have health care because of the ACA. That was the Democrats, all the way. The Republicans fought it 100%, and have never stopped fighting it. Even now, they have an active lawsuit to try to bring it down. That is only one example. Whoever you have been listening to and trusting is abusing your trust and misleading you. @JohnnyGotHisGun Do not even dare compare Andrew Yang to Trump. All of Trump's businesses are bankrupt and his shitty empire is floating even though it shouldn't through bank bailout and tax loopholes. Andrew Yang is a clean slate nothing to fear guy because he has never done anything wrong to be exposed of and has been running his business legitimately as so as well. Bernie is too old and out of touch with the exponentially evolving technology to the point that that of and in itself is a major liability. And why are you scared of money huh?

      Stop with the zero-sum bullshit. I too am supporting Sanders for 2020, but I'm open minded enough to see that Yang has some great ideas and deserves to be on the debate stage...and the debates will be a better, more complete discussion if he is present. People like you are problematic because you believe it's necessary to demonize those who disagree with you in order to validate your decision to support who you support. This is how a child thinks. There is room for all ideas to be discussed. The sooner people realize this, the sooner we will start to become a more intelligent society.

      Read my response to Johnny bc it applies to you too. You can't possibly be naive enough to expect leaders to be experts on everything. The best leaders know how to surround themselves with great advisors, remain open to new information and how to learn quickly. Sanders obviously does all of these things well and most people see that, which is why his campaign took off like a rocket. He IS the front runner for 2020, just as he should be. I plan to donate to Yang's campaign too, not because he can win (he can't), but because I want his ideas in the debates.

      And you are a simple minded fool that he preys on. He has offered no solutions to any of the problems the people in this country are facing and you are so naive to think he has. I have less and less hope for this country knowing that we have become a bunch of morons that are uncapable of even the basic critical thinking anymore. It makes it hard to root for the people when they are just a bunch of chickens going to the wolf's house for diner thinking they will get a meal from him. I would like to think that there would be no takers for his invitation but there is a line forming and even if I scream to them to run away that they are being tricked, they chose to stay in that line because they are hungry and he promised them food. It makes it hard to have simpathy for the chickens anymore because not only were they not smart enough to see through this on their own, but even when they were told the truth they were uncapable of doing what is in their best interest if they wanted to survive. They chose the way of the wolf and he rightfully should be rewarded with the chicken diners of all those chickens that would rather listen to someone promising them what ever they wanted, than to take the time to use their own brains and save themselves from being killed by the wolf. It's hard to blame that wolf for anything he does because at least he used his brain to get what he wanted. I can't defend the chickens anymore. They have no hope and its foolish to think that they could. Enjoy your diner with the wolf. I hope it will be a good one because I'm sure it will be your last one!

      @hypeapex3173 5 лет назад +2

      @Charlie Keiner You bring up a few valid points, but I can see your views are skewed just based on his political party. Yes innovative ways of doing things and eliminating jobs has happened throughout time. The key here is this is not just one specific job we are talking about which typically has always been the case. We are talking about almost every single basic job that makes up the majority of our economy being taken by a machine In a matter of years. There has never been anything even remotely close to this scale. I agree with you that UBI might not be as stimulating with the amount of assistance already being given.

    • @kol3981
      @kol3981 5 лет назад +4

      Reynaldo Amaya it's still pretty capitalist. He thinks AI and robotics are going to essentially destroy this country and his solution is a tax that will allow people to barely feed themselves or have to double up to survive. As a capitalist he can't imagine regulations that would stifle the growth of the industry or actual redistribution of the wealth from the tech companies. It's a pretty small amount he would be taxing them compared to what he could tax them. He predicts America being a 3rd world country because of the AI/robotics revolution we're going to experience and it will make life worse. A democratic socialist would either try to stifle it or would tax them at a much higher rate so that Americans can still have a good qualify of life after this happens.

      @@michelangelobuonarroti916 bernie is much less policy oriented than yang i've noticed, which is why i switched from bernie to yang. he's also younger and much more familiar with the tech problem coming along, which bernie won't be able to address as adequately because he simply isn't as connected to tech and doesn't understand it as well as andrew yang. furthermore, i've noticed that bernie is a bit too SJW when it comes to things like black lives matter, saying things like "white people don't experience poverty in the same way black people do" and believing in things like the mythical wage gap. yang actually addresses and recognizes the difference between the genders, which is why he's able to point out males will be much more likely to do more self destructive behavior when they lose their jobs and sense of purpose more than women will. furthermore, i noticed bernie relies a lot more on emotional appeals than yang, which in itself to my mind is used as a workaround to get votes instead of using logic, data, and the numbers like what yang does. lastly, yangs page for his opinion on all the issues is public, on display and very detailed. bernies page shows what he feels on a lot of the issues, but it isn't nearly as in depth and doesn't address as many issues as yang's do. overall yang > bernie for 2020. spread the word.

      Yeah bc charisma got us so far with Clinton and Obama. I'm so sick of these personality contests. UBI makes no sense as an economic solution for those in poverty. His UBI gives $1000 to EVERYONE, which means we're not improving the economy, we're just moving the poverty baseline $1000 up. The wealth disparity would still exist. Or worsen, bc it's deducted down if you also have welfare, WIC or foodstamps. But the wealthy who don't rely on welfare assistance, can get the full $1000, so actually the rich end up being richer. It's stupid, bc it restricts it for those who need it and rewards those who don't.

      @@YourMajesty143 Sure, income inequality will remain the same, but the real difference is in relative income inequality. $1000 won't make a big difference to a millionaire, they might not even notice it going into their account. On the other hand $1000 in the hands of a low-income household is going to make a huge difference with regards to what they can afford. Also the program would be opt in, so the only millionaires and billionaires who got a $1000 from UBI would be the ones willing to ask for it. It might not even register on their radar as something worth the time to do.

Hence, I think you Americans have to make a wise decision this time and elect a guy like "Andrew Yang" who has real roadmap of solutions not only to Americans but issues that are going to be mutual to everyone, if Andrew's vision for America succeeds it will be a success model for countries that are in much worse conditions that America.
