    You know how to get British people there? Do a show at the NEC then make others the offer there to go to the extended version of the show a month later over there, direct marketing appeal, know your customer first and then make the sale when and where it counts.

    1:45 “the labor costs are very less”. My friends, he’s almost saying it openly: the reason companies are opening factories in your country is because they feel that they can get away with paying you less! Ethiopia has the lowest garment industry wages in the entire world!

    • @jasminwu3353
      @jasminwu3353 4 года назад +1

      not exactly. U should learn something about the principles of political economy for the later-developing countries/regions.
      In short, they must try to earn the first pot of gold and mostly through exploring of raw materials, the primary commodities and agricultural products. But it’s difficult without enough protection by their own countries, because these types of products from more developed countries possibly with subsidies from their governments are more competitive. So it’s very likely the later-developing countries just have to become a dumping market. The native agriculture goes fail and the countries are still always needy to maintain even upgrade their own national industries. We call this resource trap, and man can usually find out this phenomenon in many underdevelopment countries.
      Lack of capital, technology, educated and skilled peoples, industries, administrative management of government, so the future of these countries is uncertain. With the accumulation of social discontent and involution it likely triggers civil wars. This bring inversely more poverty and hopelessness.

    Good move but those African sellouts should invest and empower their own people first and foremost

  • @Jamaghost

    Are people who work there paid enough? According to some reports, absolutely not, neither they have holidays nor health assistance. Industrialization can be good, but basic rights have to be guaranteed, otherwise it's just gonna be exploitation.

    • @theinternetsavedmylife
      @theinternetsavedmylife 7 лет назад

      Gerald Eguaroje TINAPA was ill planned to be frank...It was meant to be a trading hub rather than a manufacturing hub. Then there's the issue of dredging the channel to Calabar Port. I don't have to travel to a remote part of the country just to trade (buy cheap foreign goods) when the difference is not that much! The stalls, I heard, were expensive to lease and out of reach for local traders. I don't think you can pull off a Dubai model in Calabar (It is not an intersection of trade) but I do recommend the Shenzen Model.
