Love the channel / series! Keep up the good work. And I know I am bias, but make sure you cover Stack's Bowers too :) ...lots of great toners coming up.
Thanks! I’ll definitely check them out!
Great thoughts on the differences between auction houses. I haven't won anything in a long time. Prices still too high for me.
Just wanted to say I really appreciate the videos!
Thanks!
Very interesting your thoughts on Heritage vs. Legend and GC. I tend to agree with the better deals being on Heritage even though they have the higher buyers premiums. Although I haven’t won a coin on there since December ugh 🤦♀️ I’m bidding on a few there tonight so we’ll see how that goes. Anyways I love the idea of doing these videos on Toner Tuesday they’re so fun. I’ll be back tonight with my guesses for what these coins ultimately sell for
Guesses :
#1 walker set - no sale
#2 1885 67+ - $18,213 (stays put)
#3 1913 68+ - $28,500
#41948 67+ - $1725
#5 1881s - $5750~$3450
@@tylonnplatinumthe3rd659 The '81-S Morgan will go for over $6k, maybe 7k.
@@tylonnplatinumthe3rd659 I was wrong. The '81s went for $4,400. Good call by you as the Walker set went unsold; the '85 went for $16k; the '18 went nuts at $67.5k; the '48 went for only $1.1k. I'd expect to see some of these toners appear on other auction platforms soon to see if the buyer can flip them for a profit quickly.
Crazy results looks like I did well on half the guesses
The reason that Morgan is getting high bids is because of the predominate green color, which is rare. I've seen a video of the coin and it has tremendous luster. I'm a high-end toned coin collector and the price levels for monster toners are getting out of control. There have been multiple $10k plus deals for toned coins this year for coins that have an underlying book value in the hundreds. I will admit I'm guilty of perpetuating this market craze.
Thanks for that insight! I agree it’s getting a bit out of hand. But fun to follow
I have one of these 1913’s that just came back from PCGS at 67 and I feel it’s a 67+68 a little disappointing! mine has similar beautiful Toning as well.
They are definitely getting tougher these days. Especially when it comes to big jumps in price. Eventually I’d send your coin to CAC before you sell it.
Thank you for the advice. I enjoy your videos it gives me hope for the kind of coins I like especially, the toned ones
I really wonder if people do their research like you do it before bidding on these coins? I mean when your spending that type of money for example the 1885 PR67 DCAM, I mean I guess if your rich you really don’t care how much you spend unless you plan on flipping it right?
Amen!
damn that 1881-S MS66 toned is nice but over priced?
thanks for sharing ur knowledge Jeff More great videos😎👍 🦘dave
