Wish I'd found this while trying to install the bar on my yaris earlier today!! Reckon it's negative switched coz I couldn't get it to light up unless I ran the bar cables direct to the terminal. Will have to check it again tomorrow. Cheers legend. ✌
Awesome job. bumbling across the tube right now and found your vid. I have to install a big red light bar on my other halfs suzy swift so this is gonna help big time. Good job. Also from down under.
Well what are the chances of that! Missus Browney's Swift has since been moved on but she misses it quite a bit, was a great little car. Good luck with the install mate, hope the video helps.
Thanks for this video. I tried to hook up a led ramp and couldn't figure out why it didn't work. Seems like I also have a car with negatively switched system. I'm going to cut the finished cable kit and rewire it.
Good luck, hope you can sort it mate. Had to do similar for my brother in laws CX7 - he bought a pre-made wiring kit that didn't work, ended up chopping half of it out and redoing the rest!
Couple of questions: 1. if you had to have the light bar connected through a separate isolated switch (for compliance purposes) where would you put it in your diagram? The function would be, both high beams and isolated switch need to be ON to power the new lights. 2. If you had one of those smart relays (auto-sensing positive/negative charged) how would that affect your diagram?. Thanks in advance.
Front of the Swift was all plastic except the small clips/nuts the bolts went into, and obviously the number plate but expect this won't add much, so you may be able to get away with similar. Maybe try source the angle used for the mount in aluminum to keep weight down to help? Best of luck mate 👍
@@BrowneysGarage cheers mun and thanks for the fast replie yeah it's seems quite sturdy the plastic just need to figure out away with out drilling holes
bugger, I saw the title and was hoping that you have been able to crack the wiring code to run the light bar off the foggie switch in the cabin. but loves yah work. If you are thinking about installing a revers cam off a relay to have them work off a switch instead of the reverse light let us know as I can donate my car towards the video
Could have, much easier to get to headlight wiring though and functions better with the high beams anyway. Oh and this puts it on relay power so the smaller gauge wire doesn’t get burnt up if it’s not rated for it.
Remember to like and subscribe or I’ll flash you, and nobody wants that!
Thanks for watching.
Browney's Garage i want you to flash me browney!! Sarah said its ok ;)
Someone wants to go blind! Haha
Finally a proper light bar video on RUclips cheers for that
Thanks very much mate, hope it helps 👍
Thank so much. I have a SX4 and could not work what was going on but after your video it all worked fine. Thank you.
Only knew it cause I’d been there myself mate! Glad it helped, thanks very much mate 👍
Re drop bears: Let's not forget the yowies either...

May look like I knew what I was doing but took me a good amount of working out off camera too like yourself mate! Hope you get it sorted, good luck 👍

@@BrowneysGarage Installed it tonight. It worked! When I turn on the highbeam, the led bar turn on as well. 😀

@@IzakJackson Yes I did. Thanks.
Great vid not sure how am going to fit them to a Renault clio as the front is all plastic and am from UK so number plates are plastic

can you do a reverse sensor install?
Great idea! I’ve got a bit lined up to do already but will keep it in mind as an idea, thanks mate.

@bryan skerry No plans for those as yet but will keep them in mind, and thanks for the offer mate 👍
@@BrowneysGarage cheers, I am running a cam from a late model factory but was adding an extra 2 for help in the blind spots when loaded
Damn you’re going to nearly have a small TV studio!
@@BrowneysGarage yeah I need it. Limo tint and the plastic perf mesh on the glass 😉 but safety first
Haha Ok definitely sounds like you need it then!
Hey, where do i find the front headlight relay? i hve the sane car as yours?
auto electricians make this job sound like a heart transplant
I've heard that! Not a bad job electrically, think the complications may come in if mounting it to rails/core support etc behind the bumper?
Cutty burny or spinny. Best way to put it.
@@jonanderson4474 I'm a simple man haha 🤷
Couldnt you have just connected it to your fog lamps?
