because they hit the ball with their whole strenght...so the noise of thunders helps them..not to be that noisy when they play..Everything seems normal

I never understood why it was "too late" to quickly extract Bella when the nomads arrived. Sure they would smell her but James wasn't a mindreader, he wouldn't have been able to see how protective they were of her or consequently how much of a challenge it would be for him. I think Edward should have plunked Bella on his back and hightailed it out of there. Only the lingering smell of a human would remain. The Cullens could tell the nomads that Edward had gone to eat her so they didn't have to share. 🤷♀️ James would have moved on. None the wiser.
James would’ve tracked the smell that’s his ability so either stay or lead him to their house
