The saddest moment for R2-D2 I think was when Princess Leia died remember he was there when she was born and watched her grow up He knew everything but could not tell anyone what he knew about Luke and Leia and there father or even there mother. R2-D2 is the one telling the stories of Star Wars.

You forgot about the fact that R2 appears briefly in The Force Awakens and where did Bb8 come from. Besides, R2 was not even with Luke so I wonder what happened. What was the significance of separating the two parts of the map? Or was that part of the story just simply too confusing to be included in this video.

1:43 Anakin doesn't kill Padmé, Darth Sidious does to keep Vader alive.
Palpatine (Sidious) already knew how to influence the midichlorians to create life and save people from dying.
So, as Anakin was dying from his wounds on Mustafar, the Emperor siphoned the Living Force from Padmé and brought it to Anakin. Thus, she died as he was reborn as Darth Vader.
Check out the scene where Vader is born, it goes like this:
(S: Sidious - V: Vader)
S - Lord Vader, can you hear me?
V - Yes, Master. Where is Padmé? Is she safe? Is she alright?
S - It seems, in your anger, you killed her.
V - I... I couldn't have. She was alive! I felt it! Mgmmmgmgmmmm NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Darth Vader rises disoriented from the excruciating ordeal he has just been through. He was set aflame, only to be reconstructed in a torturous procedure. The only thing keeping him alive, surely, was the influx of Living Force from Padmé by way of Palpatine’s dark arts. It is no mere coincidence she died at the precise time the procedure was over.

I don't believe that this was R2-D2 whole life, in Star Wars The Force Awakens R2-D2 went into shock because master Luke went away but later BB-8 woke up R2-D2 showing the rest of the map to find master Luke, you for got to include that part.
