So just a parallel here in that you might assume Artoo would try to “win her back”, but then at the end he meets someone new :)

Star Wars for me was life changing, as a nine year old boy watching a new hope for the first time in 1978, the film whisked me off into a world of imagination and hope. It helped define my beliefs and was the most marvelous escape.

Great short! Definitely gets me warmed up for Artoo's appearance in SWE7. This short does work not only as a Star Wars fan film but at as a silent film in a sense.

Other than some of the overly quick editing (at the beginning particularly) this is a fantastic fan film, most charming indeed, R2 is the pluckiest astromech there is.
where from did Artoo get the hologramm with Leia saying "I love you" and Han saying "I know"? He wasn't there when this conversation happened as he was still flying with Luke in the X-Wing to save the other guys. But apart of that little mistake..., I love it. Perhaps the best love story in the whole universe.
