I was never a big fan of these kinds of quotes. The TIE fighter was superior to the Xwing in all ways except shields. As we've seen, shields give you a 2nd chance if you take a hit. But if you have someone on your tail it's hard to lose them. The TIE's could out turn Xwings and were slightly more maneuverable. Everyone forgets that the Xwing was perfect for the Rebels as it was hyperspace capable & could do more damage to capital ships with its heavier quad blaster cannons than the TIE's dual blaster cannons. They didn't pick it because it was a dogfighting master. TIE interceptors should scare any Xwing pilot on sight as it blows them out of the water on every single state minus shields.
Credit where it's due: Your voice acting for the pilots in-flight comms is excellent. Very by-the-book, military, and fitting to the setting. Lovely video.
From my X-Wing on MS-DOS days: Oh, that pilot is an ace, and too good at juking to hit him with the lasers. They should engage him with one or two fighters, then have another fighter drop back for a lock with an advanced concussion missile. Can't juke one of those. Then, they did exactly that. Bravo. I wonder if the animator played the same games I did.
