Been using cars consistently since wrecked. Before that, I only used them to catch up with storm. Now it’s basically extra shield and great mobility. Great tips as always. Putting them in practice is a different thing entirely when you’re an older player ❤.
I've been using cars since the first time I watched Jake tell me to do that in CH5, and it's been a great help. I like the wagon more because of the reasons Jake gave and because it can take more damage than a car. Being able to refuel and repair it is good, too, so I stay aware of where the gas stations are. I also like to chase down players with it and hit them as much as possible. I even won a game with 2 kills, both by car, never fired a shot! LOL If they are bots they will try to shoot back but have crappy aim, you can get out and beam them. I've also been doing exactly what Jake said when damaging them, a holdover from CH5, and getting them low enough to blow them up after reloading my gun. Also, I will abandon a damaged car knowing someone else might grab it, or when it runs out of fuel, nice bait. If I'm at endgame and someone gets into my car but can't do the pickaxe trick on me I drive straight for the storm, hit the boost, then bail and let them shoot into it. Cars are a great tool.
Semi-related: I knew the katana backslash could hit you through a car windshield, but last night I had someone hit me twice with the fire mask through the windshield. I don't like using fire mask, but I've noticed more and more players are using it to hit people in cars, clear bushes, etc. Something to be aware of if you're driving up on someone.
Yeah I’m the same age. Wasn’t a gamer before Fortnite except in my 20s for a bit (pre kids). Think it’s more about knowing our reflexes and decision making aren’t always quite up to speed to consistently do this stuff. Some days I’m on fire. Others, I’ll end up standing throwing medkits at someone. 😂
Wouldn't say that. It's more of a muscle memory thing first and foremost. Once you get used to doing things, and it becomes muscle memory, you have to think less consciousnessly about "Okay, I have to press this and this to do this." Which ends up saving a lot of your actual brain power for making the macro decisions you may struggle with while having to think about how to actually execute it all.
Great analysis as always. Wish more people in game used their noggin. Seem like they are never the randos on my squad - always the rare organized team that ends my round. 😥
If im bored and struggling, get a car when stacked in weapon and just chill in back passenger seat i stg most people dont even see you, i had a rival team drive me around, then i stole car, fun stuff lads
Cars honestly feel more annoying this season than in the fucking car season itself. There’s too many of them and the gas stations have ensured that half of the cars on the map are making it to endgame
He made a video about it when it first came out and a couple of shorts but he prefers chapter 6 and I personally do too. So much more fun with much more mobility plus it has better ARs which as a controller zb player feel’s really satisfying to use. Also it sucks to get shield in that mode. Decent mode but I’ll only play it with my friends if they’re on or at the end of the season when there’s little to no content.
He only made one when it came out. My guess is that it just doesn’t interest him or he doesn’t think that it’s worth making anymore content on it for whatever reason. I think it would be cool if he did one or two spectating random players or inside the mind videos for the mode.
Is it just me or is anybody having problems with the hollow twister AR towards the end of the game when I aim down sites and I can't look down the scope. It just goes into 3rd person view like the other AR. The only way I get rid of it is I have to drop the gun and pick it back up again but it always happens at the end of the game when I'm in the last two or three in the middle of a fight! It only happens with the hollow twister AR it doesn't do it with the SMG with the scope
You're pressing left stick in and it's changing it to 3rd person. They changed that this season you can go 3rd or 1st person with the holo. You can mess with it in the settings I believe.
@@OKGJedi I play from 30-200 ping and it matters drastically. You have no idea what you’re talking about because your reaction times so slow you wouldn’t be able to beat a sweat anyways.

Cars are an absolute must this season, the amount of times i got beamed by the holo AR is crazy. Really good for chasing players with the oni mask too

Such great strats. But i have no idea how you think this in depth during a match. Maybe my 44 year old brain is just slowing down.
A lot of it is just being in those situations a lot once youve done it so many times you kinda do so without thinking about it as much
