Tyson says it’s closing plants to cut costs because pork, chicken and beef prices dropped a lot. How come we don’t see that drop in the grocery store?
Because before the price was fixed by "Consumerism"; now it will be Priced by "Rarity/Availability", which means the same Price one way or another🃏🤣🤣🤣
Because the grocery chains are greedy and are artificially raising the prices of everything and calling it inflation, just to make a larger profit
They chicken fake man. Spongy crap
It's that or there's people round me switching food. They need to look into their deliveries in urban markets
gas prices
Four generations of working for Tyson, she worked there for 11 years, and she cant even afford to have a nice home or own a car. I hope she finds a better job that pays more. She deserves better.
Not at her age
This is America home of wage slaves! Get used to it or be homeless!
Maybe in Hollywood in the movies.
Closures like this should be illegal.
This may completely destroy this town.
Please DO NOT EAT MASS PRODUCED in CAGES, JUNK CHICKEN! HEART ATTACK! STROKE!
It’s all about tax incentives. Corporations could care less about towns or people. Employees are wage slaves.
I heard Tyson had kids working in their plant.
So… I guess I’m sad for the people losing their job, but I know that they are going to a “right to work” state where they can treat people as shabby as they want to.
"I'm afraid the town will lose close to 100% of it's African population" Didn't expect to hear that in a small Missouri town.
But if he wants tourism as well.
In future news: small Missouri town's crime rate drops to record low.
@@buddyfett1341 Grew up in a small town. The riffraff tend to be poor white trash.
In another 24 months there will be a lot of unemployed people. I seen dozens of jobs lost in the last 12 months by the restaurant industry. Subway now has a single worker to run their whole store in multiple locations.
They're doing it to improve performance, that means performance of their stock.
Odd I never buy Tyson products and never will!
i got a tyson pack in the frozen cooked a plate the other day and its was the funkiest texture ??
Learn grammar.
They always have mushy texture on their cheaper products. America likes that texture.
About a third of the town is gonna lose their jobs which is gonna affect everyone that loses their job and the town as a whole and some people will move to find work, I wonder why the mayor seemed specifically concerned about losing the Somali population
They’re probably excellent citizens.
I don't have to wonder why you wonder. The mayor wasn't specifically concerned about losing the Somali population. That was just a sentence about some of his citizens.
Probably because it's a younger population that can have kids since most of rural America is past child bearing age. Without young people those towns will struggle to maintain infrastructure and quickly die off population wise.
Tyson should be made to help reeducate the employees and help them find jobs
Laborers being unable to buy a car but needing one to get a new job is by design. The infrastructure was designed so that you wouldnt quit, but now that they quit on you, they don’t care.
Cap'n Crunch, Doritos, Oreos, and Kraft Mac And Cheese will be the foods of the future.
The future sounds delicious! And diabetic! Hooray!🎉
Yummy..
“ improve performance “translation - increase profit margin
The way the mayor said we would lose the African population 😬😬 not the white population but the African population
Right, and immediately after he answered "Yes" to whether he thought closing the plant was the right thing to do.😢
when that plant goes that down will be come a ghost town
Well, this regime in DC is slowly, but surely less than three years already getting rid of all of our food sources here.
The tendency of the rate of profit to fall .
Any food product is a concern ,don't kid yourself
They never should have built a huge factory in the middle of a small down right next to the river! That's why they closed it.
Tear it down and disassemble it and farm and ranch.
getting ready for that genetically grown chicken
Technically, all life is genetically grown. But I agree that artificial food is coming down the line, and the primary factors in making it will be for profit rather than for health. ☹
We wont be eating meat according to the WEF. We will be eating insects.
Whatever you think that means
Unbelievable so sad prayers to all
I wonder why?
The town should buy the plant and in exchange, they should pay Tyson's a certain amount every month. The downside is that the workers in the small town may not know how to handle other sides of the business
Funny how we’re ignoring how they got busted for literal child labor.
This is a devastation to all.
Small scale detroit
I delivered to that plant!
Small business owned and government owned most likely.
Straight up cut her off on the end
Without child abor they struggling
Capitalism at its finest
KEEP your Fricken Chicken Tyson!!!
I know this chicken plant; I live not far away from it. Almost all the employees there are illegal immigrants, but that was completely missing from this news story. Americans are finding out the hard way just how dependent on illegal immigrant labor that we have become. And btw, it was always illegal to employ those illegal immigrants, and the owners and managers of that chicken plant are conservative Republicans.
Grow some trees
All your eggs in one basket... Smart!!
That's what happened when you don't innovate.
I know its tough for urban citizens to find chicken anywhere besides grocery stores which stock mainly Tyson and Perdue but if you live in the burbs with farmland 30 min or less away try getting your chicken eggs and produce from farms. Dont buy grocery retail if you can help it. I would love farm to table co-ops instead of buying from a grocery retailer. Cut out these middle men who price gouge!
The problem there would be a consistent product, meeting particular standards.
Good. Deport all the illegal workers.
All the good small mom and pops businesses will be affected. Lord have mercy 🙏🏽 on this nice little town...
Remember, Tyson fired all of the americans who held these jobs; the employees didn't quit
Unfortunately, all of you, including the OP, are too cowardly to do anything other than angrily post online about it.
2:00 The racist within is secretly delighted
Tyson opened 4 new plants in China, move there, Brian Cheng reporting.
This is a prime example of obesity in America. My goodness!
The feline population should return to normal
Now the media cares, about jobs and plants
Good let those plants close down who cares great jobs oh yes a lot of jobs now
An industrial Food giant from the middle of the last century beginning to feel financial pain. If you read the ingredients list on the majority of their products it looks more like products NASA might have used for astronaut food in 1963. Full of all kinds of things that make the pharmaceutical companies very happy. Hopefully this is happening because the general public is beginning to learn how to eat healthy again.
Tourism will ultimately ruin the community.
Tourism is that community... Nobody visits Missouri to visit a chicken processing plant... I make it a habit to fly over it to stay away from braindead republicans...
Opioid and marijuana tourism.
Murica!
Poor Performance leads to Plant Closure. The workers can only blame themselves. Moving on!
Tourism? 😂 he’s never left
Sal manilla
Over leveraged...😂
Black hawk down, this mayor is concerned about the Somali population ?
That's NBC News script.
does china own tyson?
Those undocumented illegal immigrants work cheap 😂😂😂
Republican fault.
Did looters get into that factory as well?🤣🤣🤣🤣
Biden
😂😂😂 What an idiotic thing to say. Missouri is a die-hard red state.
Wow and that's a small town....
Move to Florida like every one else plenty work and affordable houses for you chickens
