G'day Andy, very nice demo must admit I do like the maple board just sounds a little brighter and I have always liked the way the board gets that used look, cheers for now and have a great day.

I watched the video and could tell the difference. Then I did a completely blind listen and couldn’t tell the difference. Both are awesome!

Not sure why but I've always preferred maple. I used to have a rosewood just like that one. I still have my '74 with maple. Btw, nice playing!

Maple..but I am bias because I love my maple P...clear and articulate

Nice comparison! Listening through my studio monitors.
IMO - maple sounds more even and has more definition in higher frequencies, but I I prefer your rosewood P - it's a nicer juice in the key bass eq spectrum.

Hey Andy, pretty close sounding but if I had to pick I’d go with the maple.

I think that the difference is very small and in a gig setting would probably be swamped. And other factors like component tolerances, quality of solder joints etc would mask the tonal differences too 🤔

I think with this music the rosewood sits slightly better.

The only reason people believe maole sounds brighter is because of synesthesia. You see a brighter color and your brain automatically focuses on the brighter parts of the tone. They both sound like precision basses
