With a very a unique design, this 1989 Status S2 bass is an absolute gem. Very Fast neck with super low action and that distinctive growl only a graphite neck can achieve, this instrument is really flawless . TRONDHEIM SKAR BASS ONE - Is this the ultimate bass distortion pedal ? - Andy's Vintage Guitars
Просмотров 1282 часа назад
All the way from Norway, made by Trondheim Audio Devices, I am proud to showcase this little gem, the Scar Bass One. Great Pedal with built in FET compression and a great range of grit, going from a fuzz territory into the most "in your face" overdrive tone you can possibly get out of bass guitar. Enjoy

No much to say here, it's a 1959 precision bass... Perfect neck profile, weight , tone, sustain , attack... I can put it down... One of my absolute all time favourite, this instrument is the quintessential bass, no jokes. Enjoy

One of the nicest looking jazz bass I have had in here, with the rare black binding and inlays feature. Great light instrument with heaps of sustain and the tone you'll expect from a 70s jazz bass, with plenty of growl and attack. Enjoy

1997 FENDER CUSTOM SHOP JAZZ BASS - CUNETTO RELIC - Andy's Vintage Guitars
Просмотров 449Месяц назад
Not much to say about these early and rare Cunetto Relic. The guy is a genius, no other Fender relic ever came close to the original wear as the Vince Cunetto ones. With just 200 basses made, these 4 strings are rare and sought after and there's very little info about them on RUclips so I hope to spark some more light on Cunetto magnificent work. One of a kind, with matching headstock and a glo...

1978 FENDER JAZZ BASS - Andy's Vintage Guitars
Alguien me puede ayudar?me venden uno pero el cuerpo es de preseción y y brazo de jazz bass. Existen estos???
Sounds great Andy !
Love this era of status basses! Will never part with my 1990 series 2.
Hmmmm, I had a bass just like this with the Purpleheart top. I sold it to a guy called Tony who subsequently moved to Australia. Wonder if it’s the same bass 🤔 Anyway, I loved this demo. All the things I still love about how they sound. Many thanks 👍✌️
Freaking amazing tone and sustain these basses have.
The Outfield, Til Tuesday..
Interesting tone!
Love the Status bass, one of the most playable necks around and tone for days, thanks Andy and stay safe and well.
Nice work Andy!
You’ve got an impressive package there Andy ✌️
That pedal sounds sick! Great demo Andy.
When Fender was Fender! Greatest finish ever made!
any idea if the wiring is unique on the ‘59s?
The sound is INSANE! ❤
Gooood
Selling one right now it’s so fire
That is an awesome Bass. Great playing!
I owned one of the first batch . Still have it . ,😳
What do you think for live funk/pop/rock performances, what is the best to hear good mediums in the mix ? Like be heard correctly
Whats a reasonable price to pay for one?
Sounds beautiful andy, must add to my wish list lush deep tones.
Lovely! I have a '79 sunburst with the teardrop case and bag but it's in nowhere near as good condition as this beauty. Now I want one like this! Very tasty bass playing BTW!
silky smooth 54
You Sir, are a wizzard in a blizzard!
A big solid fat sound out of that one for sure.
You took that bass and turned it into a f'in drum Andy. That was ace mate 😎 ❤
What strings did this one have?
Avri 64better
Probably I am only one bassist in the world, who hates Precision sound.
The action is too high, its killing the notes. Lower for the mwah sound.
@@glennhynes5263 these have more of a cello action, they are known for it .no mwah sound for these unless you get em modded by a luthier
Thanks Andy. 59’s tone is my preference. As someone else commented, would be nice if the original pickups were left in the bass for testing. Agreed, the neck on the AVRI is amazing. I have had one and it was very comfortable and stable.
Have an early 72 just like that, but with tort pick guard. It's an insane bass, so good on every level
wowsers, never seen one.......... ill have to look around and check them out. currently looking out for a Steiny Synapse 5 with the eq tone control...... I heard one a while ago and my goodness reminded me of the Factor bass from the 80s
Cool demo, as always, Andy. She is a gorgeous, snarly beast.
Cool looking bass Andy. Love the black binding. Nice jazz bass growl too.
Lovely bass and sounds great in slap mode, thank you.
Very nice, especially with the black binding and block inlays.
Are those rounds?
Nothing sounds like a well worn Jazz bass
The Deep Talking you used, are the Höfner light gauge 39 to 96, the low tension are quite a bit thicker gauge 43 to 100. Either way, i like both, and found both similar in tone. The "playability " would be a better comparison, as the much lighter gauge, would have compensated for the lower tension of the heavier gauge.
That’s just him using the wrong image. The Hofner strings wouldn’t even fit on a P bass… Just turn your brain on for half a second and think about it… and you can look (using your eyes) and clearly see the strings on the red bass are fatter than the strings on the sunburst bass.
@groovinonfunk gee , turn on my brain, AND, use my 👀 eyes. That's a big ask for this old man. I obviously defer to "wisdom ". ..
What is the neck profile like? I know some of them came with a “slim fit” neck more like a jazz.
great bass and playing
I can never stop telling this story; I bought a ‘73 Pbass at a Mom n Pop store back in ‘90… the owner wanted $500 for it..but instead, I went even up, swapping a ‘79 Ric for it. A few weeks later, he implied to me that I was a sucker for doing that,..because the Ric sold in days, and the 73P that I bought, was hanging on the rack for years,.. nobody wanted it _(you have to remember; throughout the 1980s, P Basses were NOT “En Vogue”)_ Fast-forward 3 years later,… and the word “old” was replaced with; “vintage”.. and then Fenders and Gibsons started to $hoot through the roof. I found myself at a gig playing my ‘73P, and some drunk dude was whipping out $2000 in cash begging me for it. _(that was back in ‘93 do the math what that would be today!)_ I say all that to say this; I owned a ‘73P & a ‘73J… But these days, to start paying $3000-$4000, even up to $5000 for those “CBS basses”? with the lack of quality control that was going on back then? That’s just crazy. They’re Not Worth that much. You’re better off seeking out; Olinto, MV, Moolon, Sire, or any of those similar companies, paying 3Gs, and getting MUCH MORE for your money. _(the PRE-CBS days, are a Whole Different story..lol)_ Just one older bass player’s opinion who’s been there, before all the hype started with F & G. 👴🏻
Part of me agrees. It’s mad to pay so much for a CBS bass but then the other part of me says this is one of the best sounding basses I have ever heard and i trust Andy not to sell a dog bass so I assume it plays well. Plus it’s that rooted to look at I assume it was always a player.
Your playing really shines on a jazz bass, perfect combination.
Awesome as always Andy! Well done. What a great tone ooof🥰 I’m wondering how you recorded it? What is the signal chain? Was it directly connected to the laptop? Or did you use mic in front of a cab? Or both? What DAW did you use?…. Sorry for asking too many questions 😊
Beautiful looking bass
Obviously, some rounds on that one.
I love your playing 🔥🎵🎶🎵 🔥 - the only reason I watch all your videos, even though I definitely can't afford one of your basses.
Cool Groove
