      Man the people are hard as nails, funny and warm hearted all at the same time. Really inspired me to attempt to capture it in a candid way aswell as experience it. In my experience It's not like this everywhere so it made it special.

    i'm thinking of taking a trip down the coast of Albania, Durres to Sarande - hiking/bus/hitchhike and wildcamp most days in March...any tips? great film!

      Go for it! I was with bicycle and the mountains route, but I think the coastal route with hitchike and wildcamp would be fun. Can try camping on the beach outside the main towns. Enjoy. :-)

  • @thehillsarealivewiththesou8293

    I’ve just found your channel and it’s lovely!
    I used to live in Kosovo with work I just wanted to say I saw you’re all drinking out of streams there.
    There is a parasite that lives in the fresh water that may not show up for a while a friend was infected when we were there and it took two months for the Doctors to work out what was wrong. He had sickness and lost weight and tiredness. You need to get checked out even the tap water isn’t safe to drink.😍
    It’s a lovely region and you showed the kindness of the people it’s a lovely vlog.

    • @justincrediblelife
      @justincrediblelife  Год назад

      Thanks man really appreciate it. We used a heavy duty water filter which I've never had any issues with when drinking out of streams. :-)

    • @thehillsarealivewiththesou8293
      @thehillsarealivewiththesou8293 Год назад

      @@justincrediblelife I just hope people watching your channel don’t think a filter will protect them.
      There are no sewage treatment facilities in Kosovo plus with the pollution from various sources including pollution from bombs that were dropped around the borders in the war there is radioactive contamination.
      Kosovo is a lovely country with lovely people but it’s not a place where people should drink from streams.
      Even certain bottled water we were advised not to drink. So a lot will buy either Italian or Greek water that’s on sale.

    Hey mate, nice video.
    If you had to, which of these countries would you go back to?
    Happy trails

    • @justincrediblelife

      Hey mate, thanks. I think Montenegro was the highlight to return to, at least for me, stunning scenery and mountains. But it was the combination of different countries that made it interesting, compared to a lot of time I spent in one bigger country like Croatia. By taking the mountains route people are probably less weary of travellers than by the coast. I liked the people in Kosovo/Albania, they seemed to be genuine and kind and looking to help. Maybe doing it in summer would make it easier and warmer as you don't need as much gear.

    How did you find the people in Albania?

    • @justincrediblelife
      @justincrediblelife  2 года назад +3

      Friendly and helpful, the lady in the beginning of the video was a real gem. It was a mountainous region so quite rural life and sparsely populated.

    • @Biking360
      @Biking360 2 года назад +1

      @@justincrediblelife That is really good to know. I am planning a ride there, and to Bulgaria, in the near future and have very little idea what to expect. Did you have any problems with dogs?

    • @justincrediblelife
      @justincrediblelife  2 года назад +2

      @@Biking360 Yea I would highly recommend it although the mountains can be unrelenting at times, the coastal route is also an option. Sure Bulgaria would be a good trip, rural life and plenty of mountains in the south. Dogs were not really an issue in Albania but they were in Kosovo + north macedonia.

    This seems so cool, i would love to do something similar. But I have some questions, where do you charge your phones and shower ?

    • @justincrediblelife
      @justincrediblelife  Год назад

      Yea its a great experience. Phones are charged mostly in cafes, occasionally in hostels. If its running low you can switch it off and ask locals directions or follow road signs. Shower occasionally in hostels or warmshowers hosts, on this trip there was pretty long gaps between showers! In colder weather it's not so necessary, but its a personal preference.

    • @justincrediblelife
      @justincrediblelife  Год назад

      It's funny you have usual small talk with people in your home country but your cycling in Albania and sometimes a passer by will stop for a 20 minute chat and talk about family, kids. You don't understand everything yet so much is communicated. It's a beautiful thing the kindness of strangers and its often very funny too.

    How about learning a few words of the local language by googling it. It shows that you don't assume they speak your lingo mate, which may be considered arrogant. It will open a few more doors in my experience. So you thought camping by a prison was a good idea??!! Ha ha. I enjoyed your clips and your outgoing natures. People will remember you for that.
