Oh My Goodness! this is another wonderful and delicious chicken Kosha recipe. I love your channel, your soft and pleasant voice. Thank you Bambi, I'll try this recipe on my coming 70th birthday next monday the 21st. It will be absolutely sensational!! Love indian food.
Hi Bumbi, I just finished making this recipe, and I have to say, the little taste test I tried is divine. I am going to enjoy eating it with my family tonight. xx
Looks delicious! Will try it this weekend. Thanks Bumbi for the recipe. Just one suggestion. It would be great if you could mention ginger and garlic quantity in inches...grams get confusing for me. I cook occasionally.
Your videos are so well done, and supremely tasty when made. You have made a great cuisine accessible to all. Deeply appreciated, thank you so very much for your wonderful tutorials.
Hi Bumbi 👋Hope you've had a nice day. I just had to try this. (Recipe 150) My goodness it was amazing. My son and I both absolutely loved it. So very delicious. We had your fabulous Basanti Pulao and some paratha with it. Another superb meal. Thank you so much my friend. I can't wait to make it again. Hope you have a wonderful weekend 💕
🎉Thank you Bumbi for presenting this kosha recipe which I am sure would be welcomed by one and all. Incidentally the sitar music on.the background was lovely
I’m so glad I found you Bumbi. I am working on my East Indian cooking skills and you are such a wonderful teacher. I will be watching every video and making them all along with you. I love the spicy exotic flavours so much. Hello from Ontario Canada!
Two words Yummy Scrumptious! Am in the process of starting cooking Chicken Tikka Masala and am now contemplating changing it to this. But if the folks at home want Chicken Tikka Masala, well next Indian (Bengali) meal I cook, they will be having this. Absolutely delicious looking and can almost taste this dish!
HI Bumbi, thank you for this channel the recipes look great, this one says its slow cooked, roughly how long would this take to give me an idea how far ahead I need to start preparation.

I love you recipes my rice comes out perfectly indian now. Could you do a vegetable korma recipe? Also suggest what other nuts we can use, I'm allergic to cashews. Also some saag recipes. I love spinach

Bumbi I have a questions; what makes Kosha different than other chicken curry’s you have made? Why is this dish famous only in Bengali culture? Anything specific to know about facts would be thrilling to me. thank you. Loved your cooking style. ❤
This looks delicious, and I know I can substitute a different protein with most of your recipes. Thank you for your dedication, you’ve taught us all … so much.
I will make this soon. One question that I have: Finding whole spices in my area is practically impossible, but we do have ground spices. Can we substitute ground spices for whole spices, and at what proportion? Thank you.
For more sauce you can add more water and if you like the flavor of coconut then adding coconut milk won’t spoil the dish but will bring in a creaminess.
Sure you can but please do not add lemon juice if marinating overnight. Take out the marinated chicken an hour before cooking and you can add lemon juice after taking out from fridge.
Bumbi, if you ever see oil coming out of the bottom of your blender it means the ball bearings have gone bad. The ball bearings can be replaced. Buying new ball bearings is cheaper than buying a new blender.
What do you mean by that???? I am explaining in detail all throughout the video, the ingredient proportions are given in the description box below the video. What more do you want ?????

Love your tasty tasty recipes where u have this ideas😅😅😅
It is a popular Bengali recipe. Thanks for watching.
Bumbi I have a questions; what makes Kosha different than other chicken curry’s you have made? Why is this dish famous only in Bengali culture? Anything specific to know about facts would be thrilling to me. thank you. Loved your cooking style. ❤
Chicken kosha is what is known as chicken bhuna in Hindi.
WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO finally caught you almost live!!
😀
Looks delicious.
Thanks
I’m regretting watching this delicious recipe because I’m starving and it’s midnight. 😋😢
Awww!!
I love Ur cooking from Nigeria. Is it a must to use yoghurt and what type of yoghurt
You can leave out the yogurt but it helps to make the meat tender. I used plain unflavored yogurt.
This looks delicious, and I know I can substitute a different protein with most of your recipes. Thank you for your dedication, you’ve taught us all … so much.
Thanks so much for watching my dear friend.
I will make this soon. One question that I have: Finding whole spices in my area is practically impossible, but we do have ground spices. Can we substitute ground spices for whole spices, and at what proportion? Thank you.
Just leave out the whole spices and increase the garam masala powder by just half a teaspoon more.
What is the best wok to buy?
❤❤❤
Hi Bumbi, in the written recipe I do not see any green chilli to add for ginger garlic paste, you mention it in the video, just asking do reply❤
I edited it in the description box and you can see it now. Thanks
Good
Thanks
Can you tell us why you heat the oil to smoking point but then allow it to cool.
Thank you.
'Cooked oil' has a different more mellow but robust after taste. We do the same in Chinese cooking and flaky pastry making too.
@@jlife9092 Thank you. Very interesting. 🙏
You need to bring it to smoking hot only when cooking with mustard oil. Mustard oil is very pungent and smoking it removes that pungency.
@@CurriesWithBumbi Thank you. 🙏
How much chicken to be used?
Bumbi, would it spoil the dish if I added some coconut cream? Only because I like a bit more sauce than my husband 😊
For more sauce you can add more water and if you like the flavor of coconut then adding coconut milk won’t spoil the dish but will bring in a creaminess.
Can I marinate the chicken the night before ?
Sure you can but please do not add lemon juice if marinating overnight. Take out the marinated chicken an hour before cooking and you can add lemon juice after taking out from fridge.
@@CurriesWithBumbi Thank you so much for replying 🙏
@@CurriesWithBumbi
I didn’t know this, and my marinated chicken thighs has abit of lemon juice over it, and it will be in overnight. Will it be okay?
Bumbi, if you ever see oil coming out of the bottom of your blender it means the ball bearings have gone bad. The ball bearings can be replaced. Buying new ball bearings is cheaper than buying a new blender.
Thanks for that information Brandon.
It is the seal in the bearing housing that has failed and let the grease out.
@brandon_wallace
Is there any specific reason in this video, that you have mentioned the problem of oil leaking out from the bottom of the blender?
@@ex.hindu.now.atheist it happened to me twice.
@@brandon_wallace
"it happened to me twice."
======================
OK... so you were giving a suggestion in general. That's fair enough.
Missed it by an hour,
2:35 Did you forget to mention the four cloves?
Oh no, I did forget to mention but I’ve put the proportions in the description box. Sorry about that.
I'm gonna add potatoes and leave the whole semi finished product in a slow cooker overnight. Then have it with pratha as breaky the next day!
Sounds extremely delicious
🏴🇮🇳👍
🙏🏾
Can you use chicken breast ?
Please do not use chicken breast for this recipe. It will get rubbery.
Are you Bengali?
Yes
Bye bye Matajee
Why not give the recipe ? waste of time !!
What do you mean by that???? I am explaining in detail all throughout the video, the ingredient proportions are given in the description box below the video. What more do you want ?????
