Intel i7, 8 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD. This system is actually pretty light but has good power for a lower end workstation laptop
    This video will show you:
    How to change system RAM
How to change system Hard Drive

I have the same laptop and unfortunately, it has a 1TB HDD at 5400RPM.
It may sound slow unlike today's standards but judging by the video I watched, I can finally know the general idea on how to pry open this machine.
Anyways, I'm planning to upgrade both the HDD and expand the RAM memory in the future and I'll use rhe video of yours as a reference.
Thanks for posting your review of the ThinkPad P50s by the way.

The internal battery is so that the external battery can be hot-swapped without cutting out the power.

Also, for safety, you should go into the BIOS and disable the internal battery before working on the hardware. Otherwise, even with the AC and external battery disconnected, the system can still power up.

Hey, thanks for the video. Few comments: the audio is only from the right channel; there are quite tricky plastic connectors inside the battery compartment - it was unclear from your video how to unclip these

How is the keyboard's typing accuracy? Do you often accidentally press the numpad key ? (e.g. like you want to press Backspace but end up hitting Numlock key)

The backspace seems big enough that I don't have a problem with it. I really do like having the keypad.

I prefer Lenovo. HP's quality really, REALLY slipped in the last 10 years. In my opinion

@@NevsTechBits Thank you. Some feel the exact same way about Lenovo.
