Once you get the basics down like food, clothing and self defense it gets easier. What I did is got away from the cost. Found a little town in the hills with water pump, fruit trees. I been using the area to learn and not worry so much about interference from other players. I been hoarding items by putting them into a metal barrel and shelter. I figured this way I have safe place to return to in the event I die.
I just wish they had an in game map to show and mark locations on console. I've noticed CPU you can mark places on the map to know what direction to travel

Also a lot of these things combined will reduce the inventory space they take. for example gas canister =12 cooking pot =12 stove =12 =32 but all combined = 12 you can also have the cooking pot full it's 12 slots 👍

This game is so in depth. There is a huge learning curve. It’s pretty overwhelming when u combine the fact the servers are so different. U could go from not know wtf is going on and always alone with nothing, to geared and stocked and surrounded by assholes. It’s really something.
I have been able to light fires inside of churches and the barns with the 2 story lofts. I think it's about how high the ceiling is where you try to light it. But I have had 2 fires in a building this week!
fire ring does actually help fire last longer as well as the stone oven...torch on long stick makes a very good melee weapon as well...TY! for covering leather bag it also acts as dry bag too....for silenced shot combine duct tape with plastic bottle for make shift one.Well done very helpful vid

You can also craft a stone knife by sharpening it on a boulder / rock. So if you're unlucky finding another small stone, here you go. You can craft a bone knife by combining two bones or sharpening one bone on a rock or a small stone. Combining a bone with a knife creates improvised fish hooks.

Plus I always make sure I spend A LOT of time on the servers too before recommending them, and sometimes I can spend 20 hours on a server and it just not be worth mentioning, so I need to find another one and start from scratch. @@randstokes5048 I did one on Devils Workshop for a while. I was raided so I moved more West and had a base for weeks there. Factions are harder to find because it changes so much, if a servers thinks they're not working they seem to remove them but I'll try find a decent one for the list.

Yeah, it was patched out a while ago. I have no doubt they'll bring it back soon enough though because they're already adding the bone knife and spear back this next patch =]
No problem at all. Just a heads up, after patch 1.17 drops(on the 19th I believe) you'll be able to get heat from a torch which will make travelling warm way easier too =]

Everything I look up everybody just says to combine the stuff. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to “combine” and I’m on console so I can’t just pickup the item and drag it there
Hold the thing you want to combine in your hand, then find the thing you want to combine it with in your inventory, hover over it: Press B on Xbox or circle on PS. If you can combine it, it'll let you =]
Oh yes did a new guys just learning Daisy has a hard learning curve but once you learn it you're going to love it I put daisy aside for a few months I bought it last year when I learned it came out on console because I used to watch The running Man all the time and I really liked that game and I knew it was going to be hard transfer because the interaction menu was meant for PC a mouse not a video game controller there interaction menu sucks ass for console it has a tough and rough learning curve but once you learn it it's not so bad and you can change your controls this starter control is for some unknown player but I find the second one is the best for me because equipping with circle messes me up because circle normally backs the console gamer out well when you first load in and don't change nothing circle combines and I find myself combining a lot of my items with clothes when I try to back out because circle combines and I lost a lot of items so I changed it to the secondary were x combines and it's a lot easier for me except we're at the relearn how to throw because that is way different from the first setup first setups really easy for throwing items but like I say I rather not know how to throw and then lose my inventory so I'm going with the second load out for controls

Don’t ever try to play 99xloot they offer a safe zone and say they want traders but the second you enter the “safe zone” you get threatened to leave or die. Then they call you roaches for being there.. horrible admins horrible laggy crashing server as well

If you have the small rock in your hand and go to a boulder, you can craft a knife.
So you do not need a 2nd rock.

Yeah very true, I think it's regular to find people camping in the 2 door barns too, so you always have to be careful entering one in rain ha

I was told always light an outdoor fire under the low canopy of a tree. This disperses the smoke so you cant be detected by other players
Yep, definitely. I have a stealth guide(well 3 short ones) and one of them covers just that - and never light them of a night.

If not just holding the reload alone, I think if you remove the mag first and then hold it, it should work.
either take the clip out and put it back in or hold Y. you can load shotguns and clups by holding Y also if you didnt know.

You can scroll between the options, it should tell you how to when you combine both ingredients but before you press craft to do it.
