Awww, little Angie. Incredible photography! My first year in Oregon I stayed in a small hotel right above that lookout, the Twin Dolphins, and took lots of photos of that beach. Thank you so much for the memories.
Southern Oregon coast gets 72 inches per year of rain fall. That's more than 3 times the rain inland at Grants Pass Oregon. Most of that rain is during the winter season. A Lot, I MEAN LOTS of Rain, or Maybe CONSTANT windy rain during the winter months. But summer is gorgeous, and crowded.
Thankfully I miss the winter and hang in the southwest desert instead. Love our fall and spring visits though, some nice days between storms and not too many people. :) Cheers! Ray
Hi , Thank you much for sharing Oregon 101 . Iv wanted to travel up to Medford and with google earth, so informative .My little lady bug could fit just fine too where you were parked on pull out. Nope wouldn't wanted to be on a ship ,Iv experienced the side effects of the sea wave I was still moving up and down when I was on dry land. LOL! Safe Journeys
Such a terrific video and photos Ray! Thanks for sharing them with all your fans! We visited Oregon for the first time last year and were just blown away by the beauty of the entire state. We only got to see part of the coast from Astoria down to Tillamook, but we are hoping to return this summer. This time we'll be doing it in our RV and I hope we can see the entire coast line, but I'm wondering about being able to find camping spots along the way. We may not be able to get there until August so I hope all the campgrounds won't be full up.
There are a ton of state parks along the coast and they open extra loops during the summer months, many of the sites they keep for first come and then there is a reservation system you can go online and check for openings. The southern half of the coast is less crowded and the coastline is little more rugged and wild. oregonstateparks.org/index.cfm?do=visit.dsp_find Cheers! Ray
That stretch of coastline at Myers Creek is stunning, I think it would be marvelous with clear skies. I see Angie loves to be off leash, first time I’ve seen her run.🐶 Thanks Ray.
Great vid Ray, excellent pix too. The OR coast is so pretty. I will have to go someday. I want to go to Vancouver Island and do the trans-canadian Hwy too.
Thanks for another great video Ray, I would love to get to Oregon some day. We are back in Minnesota and just had a blizzard with 20 inches of snow, I think we left Arizona too soon.
Great video...nice work...Really enjoyed the stills at the end...I am not very familiar with the Pacific Northwest but you certainly have planted it firmly on my bucket list...
Absolutely beautiful there, lived in Newport up there for a spell, farther up north I spent my childhood summers with my grandmother at her little grocery store in the 101 just a bit north of rockaway in manzanita Oregon, you guys are really bringing back some memories here
Ray...... I said it before and I will say it again...... I really appreciate the Google Earth portion of your videos. My atlas is highlighted with different areas, all from your videos.. Now if I can only get out west!!!!! Soon, I hope. Be Safe and Be Well. Ps: love the still photos at the end too.
Great to meet you too. :) We are enjoying this sunny spell up in Bandon at Bullards Beach SP. Nothing like the Oregon coast when the sun comes out! Cheers, Ray
Yup, she lived most of her doggie life in Victoria, BC so spent a ton of time on the beaches. Lots of great things to smell for a beagle and sometimes unfortunately roll in., haha
Angie is incredibly spry for a dog her age, and is obviously delighted to be in this cooler, damper environment. It was fun to watch her break into a gallop! I want to know what your secret to her long life has been? What is she, 105 in dog years? Amazing.
Yes, she is doing pretty well. I think maybe its the food. Early on I discovered she had an allergy to chicken. Most every dog food has it but I found some that are made with fish like salmon don't have any or very little. So she has spent most of her life eating a fish based diet. Also, she gets lots of walks. :)
Thanks for showing the rain! Natives (like me) want everyone to know that it rains like that every day, or else it blows like your gen tent video from Cape Blanco.
Well Ray you did it again, I wasn't planning on going to the coast this year but now that's all I can think about. I love that area as you do. Thanks for sharing the great video I am still more or less housebound so I am experiencing travels through you for another month or so. Great video I like the way you're showing the map alongside of the videos of the exciting places.
Ray, maybe you can do a little video on animal care while snow birding. Maybe explain how to find a vet, what to look for when searching, etc. We have a couple of female Dachshunds with one being Angie's age and one just turning ten.
Here are a few blog posts I did in the past - www.loveyourrv.com/rving-with-dogs/ www.loveyourrv.com/rving-with-a-dog-advice-from-a-full-time-rver/ Cheers, Ray
Until the marine layer showed up and ruined the party back to 50s on the coast. :( Oh, well had a little spell of warm weather and no rain for over a week, not bad for April!
Beauteous. Are you spending a lot more time editing now Ray? Like the newer format but there was something to be said for your lower production vids as well. :)
I really hate to keep asking questions, but, I will have close to the same rig set up as yours and you are my best 'go-to' guy and have followed your every video, most over 1 time viewing. I haven't even thought of a brake controller in the truck for the RV up till now. Is this a necessary item, and, how do they work? Thank you for your patience with me.
No problem. :) Yes, you need some type of brake controller to work the trailers electric brakes. Here is the one I have. It's a model by Tekonsha, they make good controllers - www.loveyourrv.com/tekonsha-primus-iq-brake-controller/ I've been using it 7 years now with no problems. A lot of newer trucks come with controllers built in. Here is a good article on brake controllers - www.etrailer.com/faq-brakecontroller.aspx Cheers, Ray
Ray, we're getting ready to do a northern California (Ave of the Giants) and Oregon Coast trip in a few weeks. How was the connectivity on the coast road?
Our T-mobile coverage is terrible but Verizon isn't too bad. Good near the towns but can drop out on the highway in stretches. There are lots of mountains and hills and curves making signals weaker. The booster comes in handy in some spots.
Most of the time we can just drive in and get a spot unless it's a really popular location and in the busy season. This trip the only reservations we made were at 2 popular Arizona State Parks.
Depends on how we use the power. If we get really stingy we can survive without the generator even when cloudy but if we use our computers a lot and if its cold and we need to run the furnace more we usually need a recharge after 3-4 days. We have 4 golf cart batteries.
Most of it is easy driving, good roads with many 4 lane sections with a few winding areas here and there. It's probably the best route to the coast in my opinion.

Angie is one happy beagle because she is in Paradise! Lucky dog! :-)
I love the rain! Hiding in the RV from the weather listening to it falling is half the fun of RV'ing. :) I could sit and listen to that all day.
Oregon coast is just spectacular!
It's always a good day when I can hear Angie's bell tinkling in the background. Sláinte

Thanks for another great videa... we were surprised to see that Angie has so much energy for a senior citizen!
She seemed to be slowing down a few months ago but lately, she has really perked back up. :)
Looks like it was a great time. Thanks for the montage at the end. Gorgeous! Travel safe.
Thank you sir. You are bets friend for adventure.
The photo at 18:02 would make a "fun" rainy day jigsaw puzzle. Thank you for sharing your world with us onlookers.
Came to comment the same thing, that's a great shot of the lobster pots.
Love Oregon! Can't wait to visit.
Thanks again for taking the rest of us "along" for the ride. I really appreciate the Google Earth tours as well. Safe travels!
Spectacular photography
Thanks Ray. I love the NW coast. Was down there a few years ago on a motorcycle trip. No rain though fortunately. :)
You're welcome, George.

Told you it was still raining up here :) Glad you are back in the NW safely
I really loved the video, enjoyed the way you started with overview of the coastline. Looking forward to hitting the road. Happy travels.

Wow, seems late in the year for that much snow!

Cool!
Great video... I'm a new sub... We love your dog😉👍
After you left, the sun did come out. Great to meet you.
Great to meet you too. :) We are enjoying this sunny spell up in Bandon at Bullards Beach SP. Nothing like the Oregon coast when the sun comes out! Cheers, Ray
Nice places, nice camera shots, and nice production.
Angie looks happy.......
Beautiful...you are the best at this kind of stuff.
Ray and family living the dream. Great video, great still shots.
Thanks, always love getting back on the coast even with the rain. :)
Great video & PICTS, Ray. It felt like we were there with you. Love the music too. Thanks for sharing, as well!
Stunning video... just gorgeous, pictures of Angie so cute.... beagle having fun.
Angie is definitely a Northwest dog. Not so much a desert dog... She looks much more happy than she did at Redrock Campground. LOL!!!
Yup, she lived most of her doggie life in Victoria, BC so spent a ton of time on the beaches. Lots of great things to smell for a beagle and sometimes unfortunately roll in., haha
Looks like another beautiful area Ray! Thanks for taking us along and showing us around. :) - Shane
Great video and photos as usual.

I like the way you show the maps then the area close up Haven't seen any video of Oregon coast line yet. Thanks very interesting.
Thanks for showing the rain! Natives (like me) want everyone to know that it rains like that every day, or else it blows like your gen tent video from Cape Blanco.
haha, ya! Well, except for today, beautiful blue skies here in Bandon. Makes it all worth it. :)
Well Ray you did it again, I wasn't planning on going to the coast this year but now that's all I can think about. I love that area as you do. Really nice spot! Love your channel
Looks like your getting a good leek test and big blue is getting a free wash.
Yup, so far so good leak wise and all the desert dust is gone! :)
Awesome video nice place wow tkx 🇨🇦🇨🇦
10 days later it been in the 70s and 80s all up and down the coast
Until the marine layer showed up and ruined the party back to 50s on the coast. :( Oh, well had a little spell of warm weather and no rain for over a week, not bad for April!
Absolutely Smashing Guy's
Love you ray
Beauteous. Are you spending a lot more time editing now Ray? Like the newer format but there was something to be said for your lower production vids as well. :)
Not too much but folks seem to like the maps so have started using the more for the travel videos.

Me again Mr Ray. All the rv parks you been thru do you need reservations in advance? Or just drive by? We just love to go from town to town.
Most of the time we can just drive in and get a spot unless it's a really popular location and in the busy season. This trip the only reservations we made were at 2 popular Arizona State Parks.
When you get multiple rainy/cloudy days in a row, how does the solar do? Are you dependent on the generator?
Depends on how we use the power. If we get really stingy we can survive without the generator even when cloudy but if we use our computers a lot and if its cold and we need to run the furnace more we usually need a recharge after 3-4 days. We have 4 golf cart batteries.
Mr Ray! From the Williams to 101 head OR. The hwy is easy driving? Are there winding roads?
Most of it is easy driving, good roads with many 4 lane sections with a few winding areas here and there. It's probably the best route to the coast in my opinion.
Angie does not move like a dog her age. I know she has her fainting issues but wow she trots along! Weather is bad everywhere.
Yeah, she is doing pretty good. :)
Do you always get the same spot at Thunderbird? Or is it different every year? Always looks like the same spot.
Yes, the last few years we've picked the same one.
Raining? Oregon?
W RD LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used to live near Seattle and I couldn't get out of there soon enough once I retired.
Smells like Galveston, huh,
