You can use a laptop as well if your talking about just on your phone not really unless you jailbreak your iPhone but you can't do that on new versions of ios
Probaly not they are no longer making new updates for ios stk and its a GPL type license game which means it can't be on the app store you used to be able to use testflight and get it with this link testflight.apple.com/join/mbK8RjHq but it no longer works the arhive.org ipa file is just the last version they made and put on testflight.

it won't update automatically sadly i don't think they care about stk on ios so your stuck with a old port made for 1.4
