Man is load managing in the middle of games like Lebron and strategically picks and chooses when to use his stamina. Less wear on the body, less chance of injury, and more stamina for more demanding plays.
It's a very very bad habit. Even IMG will go hard on teams like this. That's the difference between him and a lot of other top recruits. I wish the best but habits are hard to break. I'm hoping it'll be a Lamelo like situation, he had the same issue, but now he hassles like he's on a 10 day contract.

He’s performed well against competition and no competition. But he does play lazy. Someday he will love basketball and apply maximum effort once he matures more hopefully.
