  • Watch the Part 1 of this Komodo Park Tour: • Komodo National Park T...
    Our tour of UNESCO world heritage site Komodo National Park was everything we could have ever imagined! In this part one video above, we explored two of the four islands that Komodo dragons are endemic to: Komodo Island and Rinca Island. We weren't sure what we would see, but to our glee and fright we saw many Komodo dragons! The prices are now back to regular entry prices as of 2023! Learn more about visiting these islands in my blog article: www.deannatroy...
    Seeing Komodo dragons in real life was a thrilling experience! Very scary but also fun and amazing! Stay tuned for the part two video of this Komodo National Park tour by subscribing to the Deanna Troy Travels RUclips channel!

    Great vlog, thank you for the share. We are glad you saw some dragons, as some of our other friends didn't. We look forward to the next vlog, take care 😊

      Thank you! They didn’t see any? Wow! I think it also depends on the time of year you go. This was filmed around the month of May to early June! So you two should be all set! I hope you see some too! You will love it! Here’s the blog article about this trip with more tips for your upcoming trip: www.deannatroytravels.com/post/komodo-island-reopened-and-better-than-ever - Thanks so much again!

    Those are pretty impressive creatures! It’s hard to imagine what’s on the other side of the world. Thanks for bringing all up close!

    I'm glad your remembered to "not go close"! We wouldn't want your guide to use his Komodo stick 1001 times! They sure look like they can outrun humans. Deanna, Were those your drawings we saw?

    • @DeannaTroyTravels
      @DeannaTroyTravels  Год назад +1

      Yes! I seems we may have let our guards down a little haha. And we were skeptical of those sticks! But they assured us that they worked! About the drawings, they were not mine, they were one of the girls' on the boat with us! She drew in her sketchbook throughout the trip.

    I loved Komodos a lot when visited the island! I wanted to hug! They are so super cute! But dangerous!) mine were chill though, just laying and sleeping. But they are huge! Much bigger than monitor lizards we have in Thailand) we also took that boat trip for 3 days with others) it was the worst ever! So tiring! Sadly I didn’t really did RUclips at that time! I would have had amazing videos!

      Awe! Yes girl the boat trip was fun but tiring hahah I got no sleep but had great memories! I know they were very cute and looked harmless, but no touchy haha! I feel ya, when I was in Thailand I didn't start my channel yet so all of our great times there didn't get videos attached to them! Too bad, but we still loved Thailand and got many pictures, which city are you based in again? Was it Bangkok? Thanks so much for commenting!

    Awesome video! I am headed there at the end of August. Were the dragons hard to find?

    • @DeannaTroyTravels

      Thank you so much! The Komodos on Rinca Island were right at the front gate in a group hanging out under a shaded building together. Your tour guide will probably take you to this spot as it seems popular with the dragons. On Komodo Island they were more secretive so you have to keep your eye out! It also depends on the time of year, we went during the month of May/June they were active then but I'm not sure what their patterns are for the month of August. Good luck! You will have fun! Bring a camera with a good zoom because you will have to stand far away!

    Komodo dragons are so cool! It was pretty amazing seeing them up close - but not TOO up close :P

    • @DeannaTroyTravels
      @DeannaTroyTravels  Год назад

      Right! 5 meters is the recommended distance between yourself and a Komodo dragon! Did we follow the rule do you think? 😂

    Are Komodo dragons able to swim? Do they ever leave the island in their own?

    • @DeannaTroyTravels
      @DeannaTroyTravels  Год назад

      That’s a good question! I don’t think they can swim. Also Komodo island is very far away from the mainland so even if they could I don’t believe they could get that far!

      Ahh! That's a good point! 🤣 Also they can't climb into adulthood so if you get on a raised platform or a tree you're safe!
