If you are considering 5FU treatments consider genetic tissue typing. 5FU only works on ~15% of the population that has a specific Thymine production pathway mutation. Without this mutation, the tumor will continue to grow while you suffer from harsh 5FU side effects. Your oncologist can explain the details. With your young age, you need rational care--specific tests against your tumor genetics.
