Very helpful video. One question if I may; at 1:31, your pull down menu shows a list of filters with One per line. With the download I just installed, the appearance is much different. Initially a box appears asking to select an option, and the pull down menu has “most” of the filters in your list, but many show a category “gegl effects” and in parentheses there are several different effects listed.). Just wondering if this is an upgrade?
The plugin is not currently non-distructive, means after applying the effect the changes are applied to the text, so it's always better to have a copy of the layer before applying the effect, but don't worry non destructive editing may not be as far as we might think.
hey man i need your help i just installed version 2.99 im trying to install the gimp3-ml features but ive been getting stuck i downloaded the zip file and extracted it and i downloaded the weights im confused as to whats the next the next step im a complete noob to all this
Yeah, it has some of the same features as Photoshop's layer effects, so yeah, you can use this and also follow Photoshop RUclips tutorials, but if you are looking to follow Photoshop tutorials, then I will recommend my video about a Gimp tutorial for Photoshop users.
Try this: /home/(USERNAME)/.local/share/gegl-0.4/plug-ins If you installed gimp through flatpack then this: /home/(USERNAME)/.var/app/org.gimp.GIMP/data/gegl-0.4/plug-ins
Amazing work!
And I truly appreciate the straightforward and extremely practical explanations.
Subscribed in a hurry!
Awesome, thank you!
It works!
Thankyou!!
***Remember select all the area or layer when you going to apply these effects!
Great!

I think a newer version of this plugin might have some difference.

A white screen opens saying NOT FOUND

@@chinmay4501 And can you also tell me in what folder you put the GEGL plugins?
And if you want to edit the effect after pressing ok, can it be edited?

Yes, I am also confused. You can open an issue on GitHub for more detailed and clear instructions.
