Good video, thanks. I'm fairly new to Blender but I was taught to always use Brush Booleans to preserve flexibility in your designs. Once you apply, you're locked in. As long as the booleans aren't applied, you can still make changes up until you get your design to the point where it's ready to go. The main difference I was taught between AUTO & BRUSH booleans in the Bool Tool is that AUTO automatically applies the boolean (and you loose design flexibility) where BRUSH just adds the modifier and lets you make the decision when/if to apply. In general, this goes for most other modifiers as well. Keep your designs flexible and don't apply until you have to. What's your thought on this?
In a similar vein, you seem to imply that the only way to link the 2 together is to apply the boolean (around 4:38). You can also PARENT the objects together (ie drag/drop cut onto root with shift in collection tree) which will also keep them together and allow you to move the root cube and keep it locked with the cut cube. Yes, at some point, you may have to apply the modifiers but in a lot of cases you don't. Interested in what you think about this too. Thanks.

Hey Christopher, by all means go with the workflow that best works for you. I personally keep reference copies before applying bools. I do explain parenting and organization a little later on in the course. it's tricky to teach it all at once so it sort of has been be in a strange order at times But you point is completely valid and meanly love to work with only brush bools. Can get a little crazy once you have 20+ going tho 😅

Not familiar with 3d printing so the question is having all that non quad topology after booleans makes for good stl convert ?

Thanks for normals and boolean mods. It was annoying many times for me, that so simple task doesn't work. Now I will check normals.

when cutting holes in a cube, using a cylinder and the boolean difference modifier, 1/2 the time the hole has walls and can be 3d printed but the other 1/2 of the time I'm left with a hollowed out cube with no faces where the side walls of the cylinder were. And its not easily fixed with the alt+F keybind, nor just F, nor join. Any idea why my boolean difference modifier only works correctly sometimes?
